All the definitions I can think of are either circular or flip, IE: Somebody you are willing to help move the bodies is a friend. In legal terms, somebody I'm willing to take an accessory after the fact rap for. And, I don't do it unless I'm willing to do the time or even risk being framed for the murders. So, I have few friends of that quality. Now, if you consider just the ones I'm willing to dive into the fire to rescue, then I have many... and yes, been there, done that, found out I'm fireproof. (psychic ability or dumb luck?)

I have found in life friends come and go. Some are painful and others just disappear with a thought.
An hour ago I met someone I hadn't seen for a couple of years and we chattered together as if it was only yesterday that we had last met.
Nice to meet you at other places as friends tend to do for one another.

It's a relationship that extend past family. For me friendship is like a coin, it has two sides heads and tails/ happiness and sadness or grief, well rounded and all embodied into one. There are some that you have to toss and some that you have to keep, but above all these, it enriched the days of our lives.
