Just say it when you're hanging around talking. Have something in mind that you'd like to do.. try a new restaurant, a movie you want to see, something like that, and ask "hey, how about we go and check out that new movie....? I heard it was good." They might not want to, but at least you'll have given the idea.

Maybe instead of finding new friends because the others don't do anything, you should take the lead in orginizing something to do.
I you do all the work of thinking where to go and orginizing it, and you commit to going wheather they decide to or not, then others will follow you.

Well.. are you reasonably close to these new group of friends? i mean do you have their number/talk too them regularly? if so just drop it in casual conversation.. like 'oh yeah id like to see that movie ' 'or go there' and see what they say if they agree just say yeah lets all go.. make a day of it or something.. if not ditch them and keep trying..:)

Dear Friend,
Why not just ASK one of your friends in this group... one at a time.. "Hey, whatcha gonna do this weekend?" Then, if it sounds like something you'd care to do as well...ASK if you can go too?
No one is a mind reader. (grin)
We receive not, because we ASK NOT! Does that make sense?
Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
lostnsavd...

While all you guys are out together just say something like "Hey what is everybody doing this weekend? Why don't we all get together and do something".

Why be casual? Just come up with some ideas and see if anybody wants to join you.

Ask the group, "Who wants to do something this weekend?" or if there is a movie you want to see, "Anybody want to go see this weekend?"

Maybe you should address the reason why people aren't inviting you anywhere instead of friend hopping.
