Friends - November 2007

I need some serious, mature advice.
I have a friend, who is very dear to me. She used to come over occasionally for a visit (which I don't mind at all). However, lately she has been coming over to my house most afternoons for coffees and a chat.

After 2-3 refills of cups and several hours later, I am delicately hinting that it's getting late and I still need to get a lot done. She doesn't get the hint and by now it's almost dinner time. So, I get up and start the cooking. She remains on the couch and sips her tea, still chatting away. I then make a firmer statement to indicates that she needs to leave, but again without success. While she continues to talk to me, I usually end up making dinner for her as well, which is fine by me occasionally, but not habitually.

My question is how can I politely tell her she is overstaying her welcome? (And I don't want to sound nasty at all - I DO value her friendship) She is still my friend, so polite suggestions, please.

How far is too far when you change yourself to please other people? Is it when you start acting stupid just so people would laugh? Is it when you stop hanging out with your old friends so you could talk to your new ones? Is it when you can barely start a a casual conversation with them? How far is too far, and is there any way to go back?

My ex boyfriend of 5 years left me for this girl and now she smiles at me when she walks by. She also smiles at my friends. My question is what should i do as i pass her?....which is inevitable cause we go to the same college. I'm trying to be a nice person about the whole thing but it takes all the strength i have not to punch her in the face...lol. Also out of curiosity why do you think she's doing it....does she feel guilty about it? or is she just that evil?

I'm friends with a senior(i'm a freshman) and lately it seems like she just blows me off for her other friends. And whenever we see each other in the hall she waves at me on the low....like she doesn't want anybody to know that she's waving at me. Whenever she'd talk about hanging out she'd blow me off with some excuse. I want to tell her how i feel about this, but she's never really by herself and I don't want anybody around when we talk. They never put me down or anything. They don't act stuck-up towards me, either. My friend invited me over today, and I went, and Kristen and Rachel were really sweet to me and I was included. But for some reason I felt like Rachel didn't like me. She joked around with me, and didn't say anything mean to me. And Kristen and Rachel were talking about this girl that we don't like, and Kristen was like "She's so ugly!". I said "Hey, I am too!" And Rachel was the first to say "No you're not." And she even acted the same way towards me as she did towards Kristen. And Kristen said that Rachel and me were at the top of the list if she were to invite anyone to her birthday party. But for some reason I think that Rachel finds me annoying. WHY? I know the way she acts around Cassandra, this girl no one likes, and that's not the way she acts around me, but why do I get the impression that she doesn't like me?

There is this guy i know, and we're more than acquaintances but not quite friends. We just talk online, say hi and chit chat at school he kinda flirts with me). He has a girlfriend and i think they are pretty serious, so i don't really flirt back.

But anyway, he e-mailed me and asked me who i liked...but the thing is i like HIM, and i don't want to tell him because of his girlfriend. i mean i like a couple of other people but they are nothing but crushes. my friends are really mean to other people and are sometimes mean to me. they think they are so cool just because they are the smartest kids in the class and every time somebody ask them a question, my friends look at him/her as if they were retarded or something. every time i tell them they are being rude, they always get a attitude. also it always seems as if they are annoyed with the whole wide world and are NEVER happy. i have been trying to stop being their friends, but they don't seem to get it and if i stop being friends with them i will not have any one else to hang out with and i will be know as the "lonely girl". so what should i do? There used to be this girl in my school (Amanda). She was only a student in my grade (8th) for 1 year. Then for certain reasons, she had to switch schools.

I was friends with her, but not really close friends. She was friends with one of my friends, so I talked with her sometimes. I got her aim on my buddy list. She's hardly on.

But the thing is, I think there is someone hacking into her account.

"she" told me that she was sick of all of us (at our school) and that she was gonna stop being friends with us and start over new. I was the only 1 on at the time. She told me to pass the msg on.

I did, but one of her friends said it wasn't Amanda. That she talked with her. This has happened to her before though...

A few mins ago, I saw her online. Determined to crack down the case, I IMed her. Ask, "want to talk?" She signed off.

How do I find out who this person is?? I hate how the imposter is ruining her life. I want to know who it is. How do I find out? Help? Ideas?

My friend is mad at me and has been ignoring me for the last 3 days. She told me 2 days before that she was mad at me because I don't listen to her or take her seriously, which, I think I do. Im sorry for whatever it was that I did and I want her to start talking to me again. I hate having her mad at me and its made me like…Idk…not me. Ive been crazy sad, and people have been noticing; it seems like shes the only one that hasnt. And I want her to notice so she gets that I am sorry and I want to go back to the way things were. At my school the black people and the mexican people are fighting like literaly fist fighting and like they're segregating the cafeteria. I have black friends and mexican friends and i am mexican. ok there are 4 girls in my ballet class **names are changed**
this one girl (*amy*) - really nice....chatty and a really good dancer
ME! - im the 2nd best dancer in my class and im nice and good friends with amy
*Arielle* she is the wost dancer in my class but me and amy are friends with her
*Carly* she is the 3rd best dancer in my class... she thinks she is a know it all and she thinks she has the combos down but when ever its her turn she messes up. she acts like she is better than me arielle and amy which really buggs me.
when we were on the bar we were about to do grand batmas (sp) and she was like ohh i have to stretch i think im going to pull a muscle ( in a really whiny voice )....and we areadly streched on the floor and on the bars with pleyas and grand pleyas
