Why do I feel like my friends hate me?

They never put me down or anything. They don't act stuck-up towards me, either. My friend invited me over today, and I went, and Kristen and Rachel were really sweet to me and I was included. But for some reason I felt like Rachel didn't like me. She joked around with me, and didn't say anything mean to me. And Kristen and Rachel were talking about this girl that we don't like, and Kristen was like "She's so ugly!". I said "Hey, I am too!" And Rachel was the first to say "No you're not." And she even acted the same way towards me as she did towards Kristen. And Kristen said that Rachel and me were at the top of the list if she were to invite anyone to her birthday party. But for some reason I think that Rachel finds me annoying. WHY? I know the way she acts around Cassandra, this girl no one likes, and that's not the way she acts around me, but why do I get the impression that she doesn't like me?

I also get the same impression from this other girl in our group. She makes these jokes, and that could be all that they are-jokes. But somehow I feel that she doesn't really like me, she just pretends to because the others like me.

And if I'm talking to someone, and they're kind of quiet, I feel like backtracking and I say "Sorry for annoying you." And shut up.

Rachel even laughs at my jokes most of the time and has a similar sense of humor,and I still think she finds me annoying.

Perhaps these fears stem from a logical explanation-- these girls talk about other girls and sound like the typical teenage mean girls. When you know people who gossip excessively, you constantly ask yourself if they gossip about you also. In all likelihood it is a possibility. Again it could be not, and it could be your own paranoia. But that is the price you pay when you have gosspiy friends, I suppose.

I think either your friends are waiting for you to screw up so they have a good reaon to stop hanging out with you.

Or they are just acting sweet as a cupcak e to get something out of you (maybe and expensive Christmas present)

Or you are just being paranoid.

It ispossible to truly like somene as a friend but no one is perfect so there may be one quality about you that they dont like.

Mybe you putting yourself down gets annoying to them becuase then they HAVE to tell you that, no you are not this, and no your not that

Just stick it out and pretend that there is nothing wrong.

because the best bet is that there is nothing wrong at all

I really don't think you need to put to much emphasis into the way they are behaving with you, friends act weird towards other friends every once in a while perhaps it's just because of the weather.

It may be because rahcel is giving you less attention than usual any sudden change in people or the social life around you can affect a friened ship in little ways that will soon end up in loseing that friend ship . my best advice would be talk to your frined about you your life whats going on and ask her the same get to understand each other better and it may help get rid of that feeling of thinking she dosent like you by understanding each others points of view .

Well, then the best thing to do is to ask your friend... Yeah I know it would sound strange for your friend to ask if you hated them... But it should pay off in a long run....! And besides if she is so nice to you, then why even get the impression that she hates you?

keep your friends close and your enemies closer, maybe you are doing that. Or you could be insecure, and assume when someone is being nice, they are making fun of you. Just accept your friends at face value. Time will tell if they are true friends or just people you know.

if i were u . i wouldnt really care who likes me or who hates me. the thing is that when u learn to like or love ur self thats when it comes back to you.. u r thinking too much about other ppl's feelings and likes and dislikes. i thnk its time u think about who u want to make friends with and who u like to hang out with.. its ur choice.. its also time to earn some confidents by not saying to other ppl that ur ugly. no one is really ugly in this world only their actions make them look ugly or beautifull .. its all inside and u shuld really start liking ur ownself and its time to pay attention to ur feelings finally .. and forget about what other ppl think.. they wont matter in a long run.. u will see in life as u get older ur friends get a handfull cuz u become selective.. also collect then select.. and not everyone has to like u... i think you're either in middle school or elementary school...but this is just how girls are at this age. everyone girl wants to be included and feel special, they're just trying to be a part of something. and leaving you out is a way of doing that.

I don't know, that's your opinion. I don't know either of these girls obviously and you didn't mention anything that would make me think they didn't like you. Maybe you're just making a mountain out of a molehill.
