I'm really sorry to hear this because in my community our Mexican neighbors are among our closest friends (one of few things we're actually doing right). In addressing the question of what to do about it, I don't have any easy answers because I recognize there is a danger element to be considered, too. But where concerns for your personal safety allow, realize that there will be problems with either option you choose, so you might as well stand on the strength of your convictions. Obviously the more we know about each other, the easier it is to appreciate and value each other. This isn't a stretch for me because I've seen many admirable, inspiring qualities in the Mexican people for all of my life, but younger people with limited exposure (and facing peer pressure) may be harder to reach, at least by yourself, anyway. But I'll bet there are a number of like-minded students around your school somewhere. Attempt to find them, and speak with your teacher and/or principal too to voice your concerns. They may be able come up with strategies that make interacting less confrontational. It's worked before...it can work again. Good luck to you.

If they are your true friend they will respect you and all and let you have time with them both , my self i have a adopted brother from Mexico and he hates his own race go figure and is working on becoming a border patrol officer . it works in many ways . i dont hate races i hate ppl for there actions well i guess hate it a strong word i wont say i hate them just dont like them . just cuz of the action of one person dont make the whole race bad . but any ways just talk to then and tell then how you feel if they value you your friend ship they will remain friend with you .i so wish you luck on this
and let your heart and ther lord be your guide

Well this is something that only you can decide, but you should hang out with who ever you want to. Not just because your from one race means that you have to stay with your own kind, be with both and who ever don't approve of it, well ante that just to bad for them, eather way who ever you choose to be with for the one that gots your back is the one that's really your true friend.

wow! you're in a very difficult situation... tsk2... sounds like those people won't listen to reason...

for me, just continue with your life, sit wherever you want, but if they question you, just tell them you're in nobody's side, but if they won't believe you, it's their problem, they don't deserve to be your friends...

is their fight, really an issue on their race? or there's a different reason?... Gud luck on that

There is no need to take sides. Don't get involved in the dispute. It's a racist thing. If you get involved it would be the same as taking sides.

You should do what you think is right. Don't change who you are just because others around you are doing things that are wrong.
