Friends - May 2007

I have been living here for eight months and have been paying at least $200 more than him each month. We are pretty good friends although now I obviously think less of him. I already confronted him but now what should I do? Ideas? Experience?

What would this mean?
If you tell a friend that you are trying to get to know more to call you on the phone instead of emailing all the time because it would be faster and easier.. and you give them your number.... and they tell you that email would be better now because they lost thier voice and it is very scratchy and squeaky... what would you think?
This is a former college teacher that i have became friends and we are making plans to go out in a couple of days but she dont want to talk over the phone for some reason.. just email
this is just for friends! just hanging out.. i just dont understand why she dont want to talk over the phone... i dont know if shes not comfortable with it or shy??

I've been friends with a girl for 18 years. We got on so well and have so much too talk about and she is just such a great person to be around. The problem is I think I may have developed stronger than friendship feelings for her. A friend mentioned that this friend of mine and myself would make a great couple and it was only when this was said that I started to think of my feelings for this girl. She currently lives in the states and I am in NZ. Her last visit her recently did not see she and I catch up because I was confused and now I think she maybe frustrated with me for not catching up. She has since gone back to the states. I want to tell her but I'm not sure if i should. I really value the our friendship and I don't want to jeapordise it but at the same time she knows that something is up and I don't want her thinking I've become nuts or something. Anyone with some honest advice? Anyone been in this situation before?

I meet some one online when i was 17 over the years we've stayed in contact and fell in love through letters , phone, and emails. I am now 23. But we never met. in the begining of this year we started to talk again and decided that we were meant for each other. She become sick a couple month ago and died. i dont know what to do . i never meet her face to face or her family. but i loved her. should i still go to the funeral? i feel that if i never got to see her in life do i have the right to see her in death?? Someone please help me.

I don't understand what people considered friends. I sit in a group of 4 in my English class. It's me and one of my friend, I've known for a while now, and the two other people who are friends with each other. We get along with them really well; we're really close, and talk about all sorts of stuff. This is in class of course. But outside out class, if I see the other two kids in the hall or something, I would say hi and stuff, but they just ignores me. Every single time. So, what's the deal? Do they like become a nicer person in class or something?

everybody! I had a very weird feeling. I had very few friend but if I make friend with somebody and if they are my best friend. I don't like them to have a lot of friend because I am afraid that they will leave me alone and don't play with me no more. I might be a little bit( envy) if they have other friend. I'm scrared that I will lose my best friend. Pls any help me. how can I overcome this feeling? I know it is silly but I always does that, and I don't know why.

Okay... Im a hyper person and I love to have fun. Im just an average kid. Not popular, not nerdy. But I am kinda flirty. I dont usually talk much to people outside of my lil group of friends (which is pretty diverse) simply b/c it's outta my comfort zone, and Im not good at it. I recently found out that alot of people dont like me, b/c they think im stuck up, and think im all that. Im not even popular, and I dont wanna be! Recently I told my boyfriend that when we were just seeing each other (3 months into the relationship), that my ex boyfriend suprised me with a visit, an over nighter and that was all. We had slept in the same bed but nothing happend, we were really just friends. NOTHING had happend, who do I have to lie to if I am asking for all of your advice. Anyways I just wanted to come clean with the whole visit thing, since now 2 years later we are moving in. I really love him and I thought that being open with him (I know I should have told this to him sooner) would make it clear that I am ready to be completly open. Of course he was hurt, he wanted me to be open in the beggening, but he had this factor thing with my ex who lives over a 1000 miles away, I thought later would be better. I assured him that nothing happend, in fact I have not had any communications with my ex now for over 5 months. It was just really hard to end a "friendship" only relationship. everytime i get involved with some1 my best friend is constantly rude to me. she likes to go out and i dont as much, but when i dont have a bf its not an issue, but when i do she blames the fact that i have one as to why i dont go out. she also says im not there for her but she doesnt even call me when she needs me. i just feel like she brings me down every time i hang with her bc she has all these vanity issues. i care about her, bc she has been there for me in the past (friends since 10, now 22), but for the last year and a half she has just been aggresive and mean to me. she picks on me and belittles me and the choices i make in my life and it really hurts me. i was supposed to meet up with her and another friend the other night after i went on a date with my bf and she fought with me bc i wasnt thrilled about where i was supposed to meet her and started calling me a bad friend...regardless i tried meeting up with them and she ditched me and wont answer my calls, texts, or ims. wtf?

I am 19 years old and looking for a new job. Most of my friends are either working part time, or looking for jobs as well and enjoy going to free concerts and events and other cheaper things to save money.

One of our friends always wants to go shopping or go to the city and shop or go to expensive restraunts, spend the night at the Palmer House Hilton "just for fun" etc.
Thing is, she only works 2 days a week and makes $300 a month, and 1/2 goes into her savings...so you'd think she'd want to save, too but she spends fast and then complains when she has no cash.

How can I tell her without hurting her feelings that I don't want to do these expensive things? I usually just go along for the fun of it but it's always just annoying to be there while she shops.

These past few years we have come to rely on each other, we are both 25. For the past 4 months I have been going out with someone (my first girlfriend), he has never had one so far and all I get is do you want to go travelling, my life is so s**t, what should I do? when he knows I want to move out with my girlfriend in October. Well, I haven't been seen her for 2 years now, the last time I saw her, her hair was in shoulder length, and she is Malay, honestly, she love to smile, but she don't smile much in photos and she doesn't show her teeth much either. What I can't forget about her is her smile. Someday if I wanna fix a date to meet her, I will love to take photos and using camcorder to video her, do you think she will smile? cause I don't even know how to make girls smile, and her teeth is pearly white & straight, like she wore braces before. (She never wore braces.)
