Friends - May 2007

We've been friends for 12 years and her 7 yr old son is so "bad" because she lets him be. He eats whatever he wants (peanut butter cups for breakfast) and is terribly skinny. Her house is nasty. Not messy, NASTY. I know I can do it annonymously but I will also have to be there for her when she cries about it. I've told her what I think but things don't change. Should I just cut her off all together and let the child suffer? Either way, I can't be in her life and witness this any longer. Please help!

Theres this lady at work. we botrh talk a lot we are sorta freinds and never had a fight or anything. anyway she was complaing she is fat but she is really skinny though and she is also pregnant. she said her mom is on her about her weight and i said " is she always on you about your wegiht like that " and she was like " no she always just tells me i need to watch my weight bla bla bla " and the girl is SKINNY so i said " your mom might be like giving you an eating problme like an eating disorder getting on you about your wegit all the time " she did not seem mad or anythign. i just felt like mabye i said too much.. did i ?

One more prblm b'coz all these prblms i had scored less in my xams and my mom and dad very well know about it hence they r really upset and tensed about my future. I have completed my 12th and going 2 enter college but with poor marks don't know which field 2 opt can u all pls help out how 2 convince my parents and wat shall i do 2 make them happy and also wanna promise that this kind of thing won't happen in future! I have a friend that I've known for 28 years, he married one of my best girl friends that I've known for 20 years. She has been sleeping with old boyfriends, her professors and strangers for the past 8 months. She has never told me about any of these affairs, but we have a mutual friend that has told me everything, her ex boyfriend also told me he's been seeing her. I am so disappointed in her, this has really hurt our friendship even though she doesn't know that I know. I want to tell her husband sooo bad because she's wrong, he's a good guy and I feel like my loyalty should be to him because I've known him longer. I know if he found out it would really hurt him but I think it's wrong not to say something.

My dad smokes dope, but then yells at me for it, which I don't think is right. Im 23 years old and should be able to smoke a joint once in a while if I want to. My grandpa found out that my dad smokes dope and his pist about it. My cousin is also pist that he smokes dope, but he also smokes it. I think it would be better if we all shared dope, dont you agree.

It's not me who's being bullied, but it's my little 6th grade buddy. I'm older than her and so I'm not in the same grade as her. So I can't help. She has no friends now, because they have all been spreading these horrible rumors about her. She used to be so hyper and happy and now everyday she's crying on the bus! Her so-called "friends" are the ones who are doing this to her. Whatever she says to them, they turn it around. Now she doesn't even talk to them or anything and they still say things about her that she supposedly said. Please offer me some advice I can give to her. My ex that I dated for four years called me last night and said she had some catching up to do which is strange, because she changed her number solely because she didn't want me to contact her on account of her new man's orders.

First of all, I wasn't the crazy ex. I only called her ever so often to say hi like a friend would. Second of all, she had not contacted me at all 5 months prior to this random call. Third of all, she told me that she couldn't be my friend at all around the same time because of her new boy friend. He's very insecure and hates my guts...which is strange seeing how she left me for him. I was doing fine not talking to her any more and then she comes crashing into my life again. Pleeeease...this has happened to me too many times with her. She says she is going to talk to him and tell him that she will be my friend.

Honestly though, what kind of "friend" leaves you high and dry after 4-5 years of friendship on account of a guy she's known for 1 year?

If you have a friend that is more of an aquaintance of a higher level but you are getting to know them more and more as a friend and they write you and say hey girl! .. does this mean they see you as a friend??
Also.. they say it first in a nonformal way instead of calling you by your first name which they had always done before. by the way ... this is 2 females.. and just friendship.. not lesbian!
