If you have a friend that is more of an aquaintance of a higher level but you are getting to know them more and more as a friend and they write you and say hey girl! .. does this mean they see you as a friend??
Also.. they say it first in a nonformal way instead of calling you by your first name which they had always done before. by the way ... this is 2 females.. and just friendship.. not lesbian!

Why are you overanalyzing your friend? If you are this bad on a friend you are going to drive boys away with it.

hey, maybe u r reading more into the situation. Chill sweets, take things as they are. If she calls u hey girl.... just leave it like that. Things might develop into friendship within time. I would say dont push it, or u might find yourself jumping the gun. Pulling back then would be a prob.

Yes I would say they see you as a friend the other person is obviously getting to know you a little better and assumes you won't mind being addressed in this way.
