She went her way, I went mine. For the last 10 yrs, however, we have lived less than 20 miles apart. No romantic interest, just curious to compare notes on how our lives turned out.

Hmmm... After eight replies, 3 people say "NO!", 1 says "Maybe", and 4 say "yes". Interesting split.

That's kind of tough, especially if either or both of you have family entanglements. Not that you're likely to either of you suddenly swoon into each other's arms, but if you have partners who might become unsettled by this out-of-the-blue contact, it may not be worth it. It's not something I'd care to do without clearing it with my spouse first, anyway - why run unnecessary risks? Still, if you can't see any problems, or if the potential reward outweighs the potential risk, then why not? It's often interesting to catch up with old friends, even though you and they may have changed so much as to have become complete strangers. Boy, looking back at this, there's not a lot of positive attitude there, is there...

It might be best to just leave things as they are. Contacting her might make her become discontent with her life as it is now, and start thinking about what "might" have been. (Depends on how close you two were also)
