Recently I told my boyfriend that when we were just seeing each other (3 months into the relationship), that my ex boyfriend suprised me with a visit, an over nighter and that was all. We had slept in the same bed but nothing happend, we were really just friends. NOTHING had happend, who do I have to lie to if I am asking for all of your advice. Anyways I just wanted to come clean with the whole visit thing, since now 2 years later we are moving in. I really love him and I thought that being open with him (I know I should have told this to him sooner) would make it clear that I am ready to be completly open. Of course he was hurt, he wanted me to be open in the beggening, but he had this factor thing with my ex who lives over a 1000 miles away, I thought later would be better. I assured him that nothing happend, in fact I have not had any communications with my ex now for over 5 months. It was just really hard to end a "friendship" only relationship. My question is did I ruin his trust

We men are fickle animals. Since this happened over two years ago early into the relationship, no I do not think you screwed up. What is more important is what has happened since then, ie over the last two years.I do suppose that yes he was hurt by that, we get that way, but a large part of love, and being in love is trust, without it there really is no relationship. Just let him know how much you love him, and how much happier you are with him in your life. faithfulness is important but so is honesty, and as I stated previously trust. Good luck to the both of you.

Being open with your boyfriend is great for your relationship but I don't know how he's going to react after you've waited 2 years to tell him. In this situation there may be some trust lost but I believe you all can work through it if you really love each other. Make a strong effort after this point, after you've told him, to be more open with him so that neither one of you has to deal with a situation like this.

As much as your boyfriend loves you it can be very hard to hear that you slept with another man even if nothing happened. I think that if your boyfriend loves you he really should forgive you. I think that it really wasn't a good idea to sleep with this guy just because of the problems they can cause. But, from what I hear, You haven't ruined his trust.

He will probably get over it with a little time. It was a betrayal, but not a huge one.
