My boyfriend & I live together along with our 5-month baby and he's two children from a previous marriage age 7 & 8. He is taking the other children to disneyland in Dec and also planning another trip for the other children in April. He is not accomodating neither me or our baby in these trips. He says we can come along if we want. Is it wrong for me to be upset?

My daughter is 21 has a 2 yr daughter. The father has not kept a job longer than 6 months. He constantly lies to get out of work. One time he told his boss his daughter was having seizures and had to get to the hospital! Which thank God was not true. He lies to my daughter about money, family, work, drugs and women! She almost always has to check up on him to see if he's lying! Last year she finally moved back home with us because he had her so far in debt! He has not paid any child support. I had hoped she had learned her lesson. But she is slowly moving back in with him. I am so concerned about my daughter as well as my grand-daughter. My husband is no help - he keeps his head in the sand. Is there anything I can do? Or should do?

I only scratched the surface of my previous question, there are more instances of poor parenting skills being exhibited by my wife. Firstly, I"m 49 years old, my wife is 17 ( and a 2nd cousin..LONG story ), anyways not only does my wife get up in the middle of the night when the little thing cries, she talks to it like it's a person. Like...oooh, who loves the little girl, who is the cutest..that sort of thing. Now when the baby hears that, don't you think it's going to get a swelled head ? I think of the future, when it's in high school, like she'll remember my wife saying, ooooh you're so cute and stuff and she'll have no friends cause they'll think she's concieted. My wife is heavy and if my baby has those genes she'll prolly end up fat like her mom, so I think we better prepare her for a life of misery, not give her false hope of being cute and stuff. I think we should snip it in the bud now, tell her she's got the " fat genes " and if we can stop the over feeding now, w're thebest

Check this out. My sister and her 2 kids have been living w/me for the past year. She hasn't done drugs since she's been with me. (She has a history of drug use) My sis has been doing good, and she's currently attending college. This morning I find her high as hell. So I told her that her kids can stay but she needs to leave my house for at least a week so that she can clean up. I told her that I'm not putting up with that crap. So she did leave and now I feel guilty. she didn't say where she was going, she just left. Did I make the right choice?

as a youth did you seem to get into trouble. stealing, vandalism, curfew, and things of that nature? after getting in trouble did it take a while to realize it was wrong or did you get it instantly.

my son gets into trouble and it does not seem to me that it bothers him in the least bit. i have never been a boy at any time, but i want to know do boy brains function differently from girl brains when it comes to getting in trouble or is that just hype.

Our baby is now 4.5 months old, my wife is exhibiting poor parenting skills, she is spoiling our little girl and over feeding her. I notice in the middle of the night when the baby is crying, my wife jumps out of bed and feeds it, not to mention waking me up. She rocks the baby and coddles it like a little puppy, I'm afraid my daughter is going to grow up spoiled and expecting people to jump when she demands it. I've spoken to my wife and explained to her that when we put the baby to bed, that's it, lock the door and and explain to our daughter that she has to think of other people, and her crying in the middle of the night is disturbing and uncalled for. My wife doesn't see it that way , she thinks that little babies need to cry to make sure we're around. Well what happens when she joins girl scouts, we're not going to be there , she's going to have to depend on herself, I think this is a valuable life lesson. Where can my " poor parenting skilled wife " learn these skills ?

I am 31 i have 3 kids, i had my eldest child when i was 17 two weeks before my 18th i love me kids more then i eve thought possible. so why does my mother hate me???? she had me when she was 18 and has all my life made me feel i have to say sorry for being born,she went on to have another two kids with my father and when they split she had another kid with her new hubby. she openly favored them over me. I have not spoken to her in over a year, i was the one to ring and see how she was she only ever rang if she needed something so september last year i decided to stop ringing to see how long it took for her to ring me i am still waiting!!!
I have been thinking lately should i ring or write but not sure what to do??

When I found out I was was pregnant I was living on my own. My parents invited me to come back home due to the fact that this is my first child. ThenI had my son and now they are mad because I named my son after his father instead of giving him my last name. Now they don't helo me with my child or anything like that. When we go to visit my child's father on weekends, it's ALWAYS something negative said. The reason we go there is because my car is in better shape than his fathers car. his father has been there for me since day one but my parents are getting on my nerves saying that he could come here to see us and all that. He's been coming here every since my son has been here and i been off work since August. Now that I'm able to leave the house I decide to goo to h is place since i'm well and all. but everytime I go, there's something said. They never help me out or anything. I'm 25 y/o and can make my own decisions. Help! I'm moving out. What do you guys think about this situation?
