my mom left me a message today that her b-day is tomorrow (otherwise I won't have had a clue), I'm utterly broke should I still send her a present? Overnight mail?

he hasn't been around us much and they left with him when he was nine... my sis who has spent more time with him than us says that he is constantly teased at school and that he has some bad emotions bottled up inside, she also says that on his birthday his mom wouldn't even let him have any friends over, she tells me to watch him around my kids because we dont know what he has been through. I want to make him feel welcome at my house and I want to help him to feel more accepted by our family and let him know how much we love him and I wanna help him but I just dont know how...his mom is very vindictive and manipulative and has probably tried to turn him against us... so how do I deal with him and what can I say to him to let him know that I care about what he's going through and exactly how can I keep an 11 year old entertained? Im open to any and all suggestions!

How would you feel if your mother told you that she well no longer support you in anything that you do from this point on. Im 21 yrs old and me and my mother havnt been in the best of situations thru out my life . She was all I had growning up and for her to tell me this it hurt me more than anything ever. I know she ment it, she wasnt just saying it. This is the worst thing my mother has ever said to me in my entire life. Just like every other person we have our ups and downs expecially these past 2 weeks but, Why do you think she said this to me so coldheartedly . Even when I told her how much this hurt me.

He's been wetting at night and I hate to allow him to think it's okay, but I know it's not his fault. Bed wetting runs in the family and I know about the meds you can use...I'm just tired of washing sheets everyday!!!!

I am now 17 years old and my father died when I was 14 from drugs and alcohol. I live with my mom and my life is nothing like it use to be. However, I have recently caught my mom smoking pot 3 or 4 times. She says she's stressed and it helps her but its making me mad. She's acting like she use to and I'm not for sure what to do because I don't want to go down that same road again. I've tried talking to her and she just tells me to leave her alone. The last time I caught her I decided to tell her mother about it and all she said to do was to pray but thats not helped so far. Any advice?

I can't tell. He made me a macaroni necklace at school the other day and that seems pretty gay to me. My wife said that thats what 4 years olds do but I'm not sure I believe her. Should I disown him now or wait for more proof?

there is a movie that i'm guessing came out some time in the 60's. i'm in my 20's now and i can remember watching when i was very very young. i thought the name of the movies was babes in toy land with dick van dyke but i looked on imdb.com and its not listed. All i can remember is that theres 2 kids and a woman dressed in a yellow flury dress and a man. one of the songs that is song in the movie is song by walking tree's (not the wizard oz) they say "this is as far as we go, heres were your troubles begin go over the bridge something something something and all of your turn your self in" its a musical. also i know in the begining she sings a song about marring one of the bad guys and about not having any money. if you can please help...thx for reading

P.S. i know this is the wrong section i'm just hoping that someone with kids might know this one.

A family member borrowed money in another family member's name and is not re-paying it. Now the other family member needs to re-fi house and the lack of payment is really hurting the loan process. However, some family member's are still very friendly with the offender and this makes for a lot of hurt feelings.
