sit her down and tell her she is being unfair and nasty, if she doesnt listen then ignore her and let her feel how you feel

It would be helpful to know your age and your surroundings. Do you live with your grandma? Have you talked to your parents about this? Is there someone who could sit with you that knows both you and your Grandma, like a minister?

Sometime a well written letter is the best way to communicate. Be sure to read it twice and wait a day and read it again. Look at it from her point of view...is there anything in the letter that is too harsh?

Use the letter to try to put her in your position. Ask her if she ever had a problem with someone she cared for and if she was able to resolve that problem.

Try to see things from other people's point of view. If you understand why they act that way, you will be more successful in getting the results you want.

grandparents get grumpy sometimes, as they age. My great-grandmother, as she got older, seemed to regress back to a child-like behavior; like throwing little temper tantrums and things like that. Just hang in there, I know it's difficult; but one day she won't be around anymore, and you might feel guilty for any blow-up you might have with her. Just remember, she probably put up with a lot from you when you were a little child, and I'm sure she did it with love in her heart for you. Now it is your turn to do the same. Patience.

just ask ol' grandma how she is feeling, and take an interest in her.

give her a break - i'm sure her bones ache, and her nerves are on edge. i'm sure she has had a hard life and needs someone to just listen to her

Make sure you are alone and tell her how you feel. If you talk to her like an adult then maybe she will treat you like one. But, remember no timper tantrums!
