Do you think its safe to assume she's my girlfriend? We're in our 30s and I don't really want bring it up like we're in 7th grade again.

This is a general question and many people could benefit from an answer.

Families are far from what many Americans are used to seeing in the 50s and early 60s, mostly in sitcoms. Few families are even close to that ideal, and at best, siblings tend to grow apart after parents deaths, and at worst, there are a lot of abusive issues that can never be overcomed no matter how much professional help may one seek. In other words, you may love those people dearly, but at the same time, relationships with them are most toxic, so many resolve at moving away and never have anything to do with them, and in a way, that can be a relief. Logically, it is truly for the best. Emotionally, there is always an emotional hole that is hard to be filled unless there is a reconcilliation based on wishful thinking.

Now, how can one get over the sadness of such estrangements, as well as to stop having such wishes?

My husband has a 10 year old daughter from a previous marriage, she lives a nice life with her Mother and we see her twice a week. I want to move to another state ( 7 hours away) where the cost of living is cheaper and we can afford a house ( we are renting now.)

When I bring this up to my husband, he tells me that his daughter comes first and that he can't leave her, and that I should be more understanding. I am understanding but I need to be happy in my life! What should I do??? What should I tell him??

my sister is two years younger than me and she always puts me down and is constantly telling me she'd rather not have me for a sister. sometimes she goes far enough to disintergrate any realtionship me and my younger sis build up on purpose. but she can sometimes be really nice what do i do?

well im 18 and i ve been with my boyfriend for 5 months we love each each other a lot. a few weeks ago i got pregnant forthe 1st time in my life and had an abortion. my parents knew about it and since that day they werent 2 happy with him. then yesterday he got drunk and the cops stopped him so i had to go get him to take him home at midnite. so my parents now dislike him even more. and they just said that the only way to c him is if he come to my house to be with me. and i wont be allowed to go out anynmore until he proves that he has changed. well i love him so much and i wouldnt change anything about him. he made a mistake about driving drunk and well he knows he cant do that no more. so my dilema is that im thinking about moving out with him. he has a big house and a lot of money so i know he can support me, and i work also so i can pay for my own stuff. i spoke to him about it and he said he doenst want to be the man that took me away from home.

It will be my b/f 31st b-day on Thursday (tommorow). I wanted to do something different. So I got him green army men (they were his fav when he was a boy) a police toy set with handcuffs, badge and stick (i thought we could use it for adult play too) I also got him these rubber men that you shoot like a rubber band, just for fun. Oh and I got him superman wrapping paper.

So what do you think, is it different? Does it sound fun?

My father hate all his male sons, and always has a soft corner for his two daughters. I feel bad he does not respect or regard any of the daughter-in-laws. While hhe over protective of daughters and son-in-laws. There is a very big rift in my family due to this. My mother's health has declined. Dowry is a curse in Indian society. Legally it is abolished but not scoally. If you answer no then please take an oath that you will not get or give dowry.
Due to dowry young adults are turning towards love marriage which is taking right of the parents to find suitable match by arranged marriage.
Love marriage has one marit if I can marry I can divorce. Where as arrange marriage has one merit marriage is bonding of 2 people ,2 families & realtives . It is difficult to break.

I have seen the disaster of love marriage by being in north America.I do not support love marriage. I am writing in an orkut group "Love vs. arrange marriage "Soulmates are found mutually but upto high school going children divorce rate is 40%. Whs soul mate real?
Time is not far when the dowry system wil be reversed because in 1970's & 80's every couple wanted 2 boys & a girl. This has created imbalance in male & female population. So parents to continue their generation will pay to the girls parent

I am dating this guy who is younger than me by a year and a half. Problem is - He is planning on going to college (out of state) in August. My feelings have grown for him in our short relationship and I don't want him to leave.
