I just asked him out for drinks, as a friendly gesture and he gives me this big speech about being out of the game, seeing someone and he's officially retiring from "playing the field" blah blah blah. I just wanted to take him out as friends, nothing romantic involved.

He also said "Thanks, I appreciate it". I felt kind of weird after that.

How should I have approached him with the offer for drinks in a platonic way?

I and my boyfreind are in late 20's, i just recenlty found out that his cancer may return anytime, and the doctor said his chance of surviving 10 years is not high. For the last few month he has been in and out of hopsital half of the time, also he gets alot of pain here and there. We have been together for 2 years, i love him, but i am on a 'tight schedule', ie i am close to 30, i want kids and family soon because my biological clock is ticking, knowing his cancer may come back, my future kids my not have a dad, also my stable job maybe in doubt as well, i don't want to be a widow! I feel a huge delimma, emotionally i love him very much, he is the nicest guy i've been with, but something in my head kept telling me that my life will be full of sorror and worry if i stay, i've mentioned a few times about our future with him but he 'begged' me to stay, promising a great health, what should i do? i feel like time is running out

I'm 17 and she's 15 (I'm her first boyfriend). Been together 5 months. On Valentines day I decided to do something special for her since I didn't get her anything for Christmas (then again, she didn't get anything for me either).

I wrote her a really sweet letter with glitter pen. Made it really nice and touching. I'm the kinda guy that would normally not do something like this, but she really means a lot to me. I put the letter in her backpack at school on Valentines Day. She told me she loved the letter.

On Friday night we were hanging out at the mall, and when we bumped into some girl from our school she asked my gf how was her Valentines.

My gf said "Sucked". I was so hurt when I heard that. After what I did... I just spent the rest of the time at the mall in silence and just got up and left. She chased after me asking what's wrong, and later said she was only joking. I left anyways...

Did I over-react? Have any of you girls said something stupid like that to your bf before?

He's 56, I'm 42, he's somewhat angry and insecure due to past relationships, has a physical disability and his only income is a pension, now he's with me and seems to be quite manipultive , ie, does not support my decision to update my skills in order to get better job, threatens to leave me if I express my desire to return to school....

I know this is petty, but I would love to know if there is a way to put a curse on someone that has ripped me off. I don't want answers saying forget revenge because I can't! I am tired of always doing the right thing and getting screwed over.

If it were a dude playing all the mind games that women play, and acting the way they do, he would probably get a punch in the mouth.

If you are dating one person for a while and they are a pretty good person, but they say stupid things without thinking and sometimes hurt your feelings and you meet someone else who is also a good person, can you date them both at one time. Very rarely does the occasion occur when they would even be in the same city and wouldn't have to know about each other. My friend says it would even be okay to have sex with both of them, even on the same day. I don't know. I like them both but still don't know who I like more.

hey well me and this guy have jus started a long distance relationship a few weeks ago although ive known him for quite a while, we were going fine emailing texting chatting on the phone etc. then last week he told me he had decided to get rid of the internet for a while which was a shame as we chatted on msn every day but i didnt see a problem with this, since then i havnt heard from him in a week, and im hearing all sorts of rumours from some of his friends that are girls saying im not his type etc, although he never said this to me, should i text/ring him to see whats going on or just notcontact him again? i really liked him and thought we had something good but now am not so sure has any 1 else been in a similar situation? please help x

my husband and i have been having a very rocky relationship lately, fighting all the time, no communication, much hurt and emotional abuse.. we have been together for 6 years and i took my vows very seriously... i have been dealing with crohn's disease for many years now and he has seen me through that and been very supportive, but lately, he doesn't give a rats bum about anything... i am only 25 and have a lot of life ahead of me, but i would like to do whatever i can to protect my vows.. he, on the other hand, has pretty much given up.. i have made an appointment with a counselor for 2 weeks from now, but i am not sure if we will make it that long... should i let him go, or ask him to stay till we can at least go see the counceler?
