I have controlling parents, my dad more than my mom,i live in canada born and raised here. I have modern ideals and stuff but i have parents arn't on the same level as me . My mom's lived in canada most her life and my dad about 20. Dad has a problem with me and my sister wanting to go out and having fun. We go out 1 every two or three weeks at the most. My mom dons't really have a problem but almost always takes my dad's side, i guess in order to keep her marriage peacefull. However becuase of this i'm not allowed to do anything. I'm a college student, work part-time, responsible and everything but i have a 12:00am curfew at the latest. The main problem is i do'nt have many friends after highschool, everyone went there seperate ways but i am extremely close with my cousins. They are all allowed to do as they wish and i'm always either nto allowed go out or have to be home early. This has caused major tention between me and both sides. I'm always dealing with pressure...help me please!

From what I see, once kids come into a marriage, life becomes tremendously difficult. I always hear "kids are great" from people who seem to want me to join their misery. I think too many people stick it out for their kids and aren't truly happy in the relationship, and I truthfully won't have kids "just in case" my relationship goes sour.

thank u for choosing to read this question. well okay on feb. 28,2007 i will be 17 and im am very unhappy where i am staying. i am staying with my dad and my stepmomi dont have a real mom. but my aunte has always been their for me like a mom is suppose to be. she said i can live with her and after my dad kicked my out last saturday. all we need is my dad to sign the pappers like he said he would. my dad is in the military and is always gon. me and my step mom dont talk i just dont like her i knew her since i was 7 she's just really fake. talks fake, acts fake. i hate her. im tired of my dads temper alyways breaking my stuff yelling and wrost of all buting his hands on me. he dont love my step mom he saaid he will divorce her when we all get out cuz if he divorce her right now she will have alot of his money and all. im just tired of living like this UNHAPPY !!! when my dad kicked me out i stayed with friends and my step-mom called the police on me. said i was a runaway no he kicked me

We're having our summer wedding at a nice bed and breakfast where the owner is an Italian chef, and we are trying to figure out a nice luncheon for the reception. Right now our ideas are chicken and salmon, or maybe lasagna with perhaps another dish incase someone doesn't like it. Anyone else have any ideas? Or something that may go with the lasagna?...which I'm also worried about because it's messy!

My bridesmaids dresses are going to be burnt orange. We were thinking that gold sandles would work versus silver, however, my fiance has some deep hatred towards gold shoes. After X-Mas, we "rescued" two girls (at their request) from their abusive mother (who threatened to "kill his girls" if she didn't get to speak with their father) and placed them with us; their father and me. The oldest girl is 17 and the young one is 10 years old. We got the police involved and Child Protective Services as well. All these outside parties agree that the father's home is the most stable for the two girls. Now, a month later, when the 17 year old doesn't want to go to school anymore, she plots with her mother to have her come pick up the girls and take them with her (4 hrs drive away). I discovered this "secret plot" on the computer screen. I told their father and we asked what was going on. The 17 year old is adament that she wants to go back to the environment - even admitting that it's disfunctional, but "that's what I want!" The 10 year old wants to go with her sister. No custody papers are in place for either side. How do we protect the 10 year old from this?

My cousin was incarcerated for a couple of years and the girl he was messing around with at the time started messing around with another cousin of ours. Well when he came home my cousin found out about it, but still continued to mess with this girl. He would tell the family he really didn't love this girl and that he was just trying to get himself together. We just can't understand why he would even want to deal with a chick that messed around with his cousin. Is it possible that he's just using her or is he really in love with this girl? What do you guys think about this?
