My bridesmaids dresses are going to be burnt orange. We were thinking that gold sandles would work versus silver, however, my fiance has some deep hatred towards gold shoes. I was thinking maybe copper, bronze, or brown instead. What do you think? And, where would I find them at an affordable price? Any other suggestions? (No dyeables please..ewe.)

My dresses were Alfred Angelo burnt orange and I had the beginning panic as well, trying to find a shoe that is classy but would match. We went with a copper/bronze mix. They looked either one or the other depending on the light. And matched very well. They got them from Dillards. I would check target also, I have seen similar colors on there website since my wedding! They were strappy sandals with a thin heel about 2 in maybe a little more! Very cute and seemed to be comfortable for the girls as well!
Good luck and congrats!

I had a friend that had the same color dresses and her bridesmaids wore a bronze strappy sandal and it looked great. As for finding them at a good price check out DSW. They have an enormous sale/clearance section and usually have alot to choose from by way of formal shoes. Also, check out trendy juniors stores such as Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, or Wet Seal. They may have something in your price range and are likely to have strappy, metallic heels in several different colors.

i would think Metallic brown because it is not gold , so your husband will like it but at the same time it has that shimmery finish like gold would. You could also try a pearl color/ off white with a glossy look. You could also try a brown shoe with just a gold tied back ribbon. For where t get the shoes I would go to www.promshoe.com . Prom shoes are really nice and ellegant. They dont hav eto just be fore prom. Well I hope i helped. Goodluck with everything

Metallic bronze or copper would be nice. Payless, Target might have some. You can always get them in white and spray paint them- it sounds crazy but it works and the paint sticks.

Why do they all have to wear the same shoes? If the dresses are tea-length, no one is going to care that the girls have different shoes. And if the dresses are floor length, no one will see the shoes anyway! Why not let the girls wear shoes they like and are comfortable in?

I don't know where to get them affordable but i am guessing at any store if you looked but with the burnt orange the color white or brown would look the best.

Copper would be beautiful...I once had a copper prom dress and actually had very little trouble finding matching shoes.

When I was bridesmaid inmy cousins wedding she had us wear beatiful green dress with a burgundy shimmer and we wore nude tone kitten heel sandals and it was like we were barefoot which put all the attention on the dress.

I agree with your husband-to-be, gold shoes are hideous. However, if you choose a strappy pair of goldish or even better, silver sandals, you should be fine. Gold sandals okay, gold shoes, no way.

Black leather is always nice, because they can be used again. Brown leather or suede would also be an acceptable alternative. Metallics in my opinion are TACKY.
