Puppy love, yes.

Real love, no.

At 16 years old, you will have your first taste of being in love, and for a while it will be the marker that you judge all relationships on. Its a really great time to be in love. Some people call it puppy love, and thats what it kind of is, but its a great time when you start getting emotions and urges for someone else that you never even knew you'd feel. Enjoy it, but try to keep it a little light. So many young people are crushed when that first relationship ends, especially if sexual relations are a first for them. So, yes 16 year olds can fall in love, its just a different stage, the first stage. Have fun and good luck!

I don't think so. When I was 16 I thought I knew alot. I thought I had fallen inlove. When I was 18, I was a completely different person. I had realized at 16 I didn't know anything. And I still don't think I know alot. I'm 23 now and I'm just barely feeling like I'm old enough to really fall inlove. And I'm talking the fall inlove where its suppose to last. You can fall inlove with some one at pretty much any age. But I believe when your 16 its not suppose to work. Its only suppose to teach you a lesson. It takes alot of experiance and lessons to be at a point where you can fall inlove and make it last. I hope this helps.

You can fall in puppy love yes. Especially if your having intercourse. Feeling are the same and if you were older. You dont have the full blown relationship that adults have. For instance, you dont support yourself, your boyfriend most likely doesnt support himself, until you distingish yourselves in life, it is hard to tell how you will feel about eachother fully. People do change, and between 16-21 is a big changing time. Dont do anything like rush and get married or pregnant. But to clarify your question. Yes you can love someone at your age. But it may be misguided because of sexual feelings.

hell yes! its so possible. nobody can control who you love or how old you are when you love someone. Thats something that gets me angry when people say that you can't fall in love. But what is the world today? Whether your 5 or 76 you might not know the true meaning of love. Its probably the biggest thing in the world. You not too young. It's very hard to fall in love and when somebody says something like that to you.. they are the ones who never really felt love. i hope you pick me as best answer thanks. And remember "love is when you feel so happy and appreciated on the inside that you glow on the inside."

I believe so. I mean I'm 18 and when I was 15 I had and still have my boyfriend who I love so much. And everything started off well and is continueing well. Trust me. Everyone is different. No one can tell you how you feel except you. Try a different approach and write down the reasons why you might love this guy and realize if its enough and worth it to go through hell and back multiple times. Good Luck. Tell me how everything goes.

I believe that a 16 year can fall in love. Its about a feeling, and not about the age. If that person is in love then so be. My cousin and her husband are high school sweet hearts and they have been together for 15 years.

I feel that the strongest bonds are the ones that you have when you are 16 years old with the one you found. If the relationship is healthy and honest you can definitely fall in love. Many people that have puppy love have strong bonds that last forever and leads to long relationships. Mentally, love grows and if it is true love it will flourish!

The "love" a sixteen years old person "falls into" is not the same kind of love a more older, mature person chooses. As we grow up, it goes from "He is so CUTE" to "He treats me so well"! What real love is, is when you meet someone that you just cannot picture waking up WITHOUT--you just want to spend the rest of your life with the person, and no one else will do. Real love grows. It deepens with each passing year. The couple has goals and dreams together, They support each-others desires and want to make each-other happy for the rest of their lives.

You can fall in love. But how "real" it is will vary -- most people's identities are still very mutable at that age, and most people become a lot more complex as adults than they are by 16. So, most people will outgrow the love they had in their teens and will reflect later that it was relatively shallow, compared to love they felt as adults.
