I don't know what kind of men you hang around, but I do not like to hit women. I think it's disgusting and sick. Men who hit women should have their hands cut off.

It's because they have anger problems. They don't know any other ways to cope with their problems. These men need to be taught and shown that it is wrong and unacceptable. It also could be a power trip. They like the feeling of being stronger or are bullies. Sometimes they were abused as a child and/or beat at school. They are coping the only way they know how. Sometimes women just like to egg them on. In those instances they need to get out of that relationship. They have to want help and want to change. If not then it's a waste of time dealing with them. Lastly, the law and others have ways to motivate abusers.

I think its to do with power because when i was with my ex when i said i wanted to go out with my friends and he didnt want to go, hell just hit me until i give up. you always tell yourself he would change but the only thing that changed was me, he won, i become someone else and in the end i had to get away before he killed me and at 19 i can say that im stronger now and i trust men again but even now i have only told 3 people about it and thats my boyfriend and some girls in work because you dont want to look so weak and be one of those people who got hit around by their boyfriends and found it so hard to get away!

They like to hit women because they are NOT MEN!!!!! Guys that hit women are little *****'s and only do it because they cannot stand up and be a man!!!!

I dont think a LOT of men hit women,i would think its more like a few.
The men who do it are all cowards and lowlifes,they probably wouldn't hit a man.

Don't ever let a man hit you. NO MAN has the right to be putting his hands on you. The men that do hit women do it becuase the WOMEN doesn't do anything about it and let's him get away with it.

Im a gent to ladys my respect is unmeasurible to them.No one but no one should hit anyone unless maybe in self defence.Id rather take a beating of a women than hit back and i have done.If you are in a relationship wether it be man hitting women or women hitting man.GET out now!!! take care

Its a power thing and its never your fault. There are more good men out there than bad. Dont under sell yourself, seek help if you are in an abusive relationship, especially if you have children. Theres a good man out there for you somewhere.
