I've been dating a girl that has MS for about a year. I'm 28, she's 21 and was diagnosed when she was 16. It has been really hard on me because the MS has caused her severe self-esteem issues, which affect the relationship when she breaks down after hearing even the slightest bit of criticism from others, regardless of how unwarranted it may be.
I'm having a hard time adjusting to the university (Berkeley) and her being very dependent on my support is wearing me out. I've been very supportive of her and have helped her achieve many things but the minute I show any disagreement with the way she handles things, I am accused of not being supportive at all.
I love her and don't want to break up with her but she is failing to take care of herself, ranging from not taking her Copaxone shots to going as far as cutting herself this weekend.
I live an hour away and am busy with school and can't be there with her so I'd like for her to take care of herself. Therapy's not working.
HELP!

I'm 18 years old and everytime my girlfriend and I lay on the couch or kiss and have intimate contact, I get an erection. I try to control myself, but I find it impossible sometimes. I get embarrassed about it and try to hide it from her as best as possible. We are not at a point where we can express ourselves through touching or intercourse. Often by the end of the night, I have blue balls.

Is it normal to have these erection so often and so easily? And, are there any methods that any men can give me to try and control myself? I would just like to lay on the couch with my girlfriend without having to worry about hiding my erection.

because i have. even if im in new york now,
where im originally from, its all too late. im almost 28.
where i am in life now, i shoulda done it by 23 or sooner.
where im from says im too late, and i cant catch up no more and im so tired. all my dreams and hopes, all hang in the balance now and i dont know what to do anymore.
i remember a time in the past when age didnt matter, that wherever u are in life, u can go for your dreams, takes some chances. but now its all playing safe, so people back home can be have something to say about you. i tried the best i could. im not from a rich family, i didnt have any kind of college education, tha i got this far is a miracle in of itself already. but how to go on now? im just about ready to give up,.

This question could of been asked before, but every child is different, so I will tell you a little about my little one to help in giving me advice.
My girl is very sensitive, she knows about what it means when someone dies. She knows that they go and see God, and that it is a wonderful place. The only "death" she has delt with it a loss of her Grandma's dog, she loved him very much. It has been two years since that has happened, and she still talks about how she misses him. When the dog passed, and still to this day she said "I should of been there" she is meaning when they barried him. Days at school they tell me she cried a little, when i asked why, it was because she missed "Frisbie"(dog). I have told her about my Grandpa passing, and she said he was with God and "Frisbie". She hasn't seemed to upset with this one. I don't want her to say later that she should of been there. What should I do? I think she is too young, but she is very smart for her age. Any suggestions? I am new at this site and totally enjoying it. I have an entire section in my brain, committed to useless information! I am left handed as is my husband, my daughter and all of my best friends! Pretty strange, don't ya think! And all of us are working in the fine arts. I dance and teach dance, my husband plays drums, Neil Pert to be exact after his day job. Our daughter is our adopted miracle, and she takes after us. Forget about all that crap about geneology. She is now two years old, and already can do three or four different "paradiddles' on the drums, and does the same with her feet in tap shoes. She already listens to Zeppelin, Rush, the Stones, and of course Queen. Her mama's favorite for choreography. However, her favorite song when we dance at home, is Zep's "Immigrant song". Nite alll

I have been dating a girl these past two years. She has accepted my wish to marry her but our situation currently doesnt allow it. Also there has been something bugging me and she knows about it. I just have this feeling like someone is waiting for me in Japan. I dont know how to say it but that is what something inside says.

Anyways should I just stay by my current girlfriends side and marry her as soon as I can. Or ask her to wait till after I get back from Japan. I'll be going around augest 2008, and returning a year or two later. Letting her know that if I do not find this person I shall be hers and only hers, and meaning it. But I just feel like I have to be in Japan on my 21st year. I don't know why or when I decided this. Before I even met my girlfriend. But it is something I have felt for a long time. I love my girlfriend and totally want to marry her. I love everything about her. No matter how annoyed I get with her I love her. What should I do?

I've asked this girl out a couple times a couple years ago. We work at the same place and lately we've been kinda sorta working closely...& it seems to be very cool. When I'd asked her out in the past & she denied, it wasn't a terrible, end all conversation sorta thing. We've been cool ever since. Now, it seems neat...really neat...My slly thinking is that she knows I think she's cool...but how many times do you ask someone out? Like I said, we work together...so I'm afraid of making her uncomfortable.
