I have a friend who recently divorced her husband (which was coming all along anyway) and moved closer to her family. She reconnected (after 4 years) with her pre-marital ex-boyfriend (who cheated on her and had a baby outside of their relationship) and has been talking to him every since. She claims that the relationship is strictly platonic but admits that she has feelings for him still. As many men do he claims that he has changed and learned a hard lesson after their break up. Well anyway I informed her that it would probably not be a good idea to get involved in another relationship right now until she's healed from her recent divorce and all of the issues that she dealt with prior to marriage. I also told her that her ex is an ex for a reason and though the chemistry probably is there between them, it's probably not a good idea to revisit that relationship. I kind of feel bad because I know she likes him a lot. What should I do and furthermore tell her?

Ok. Me and my X broke up about 2 weeks ago. He broke up with me. He said he need to focus on his grades but he told my friend it was becuz he does not want a gf right now, that hestill likes me but does not want a gf. I found out a while ago that he is really sick. He told me when I called him cuz we r still friends. He said he might have a brain tumor. He kina thinks it is funny cuz he knos he is not goin to die. But it is not funny cuz he still can....I cried when I got off the phone with him...I love him so much! I filed for a divorce, so I am legally seperated. I am with another guy now. We had a child together. However because I was married at the time of my delivery, my child got my soon to be ex-husbands last name. My ex-husband asked for a DNA Test for child support reasons. The DNA came back that the EX is NOT the Father! But here I am stuck. Since he is not the father and I am with the childs father, how do I go about getting her last name changed to her biological fathers last name? Do I just have to go to the Health Dept in the county she was born and give it to Vital Records and get a new birth certificate? Go before an attourney? Please help me.

We have only been married for 9 months. Before we got married everything was perfect. The way he could know exactly what I was thinking and wanting just from looking in my eyes, his soft caresses and when we were apart he was always calling me and sending text messages telling me how he missed me and loved me. Now that we are married when we do talk on the phone it's just a short question and answer and the text messages stopped. We don't nearly have sex as much as I would like to or spend quality time alone with each other. His family is very important to him so we are with his brothers alot. He works about 12-13 hours everyday and goes to school 3 nights a week so I know he is very tired but I am not happy. I have tried talking to him about this and he just says "baby do you think I like working all the time and going to school". I don't know what to do, I am craving his attention and have actually turned to another man for attention. I don't know what to do someone please help me.

My mother has just sent me this text:

"Would you please accept my biggest apology for all that I've done to upset & offend you & could we just put our differences behind us?"

It is unusual for her to apologise as she is a person who is not always right but is never wrong.

The thing is,I'm not quite ready to forgive her yet & her message sounds like she doesn't realise what she's done to upset me.After all that's gone on she still won't acknowledge these things & so I feel like it isn't a real apology.

I'm too mad at her to really want to speak to her & recently she's taken to blaming my dad (they have been divorced for 13 years & I now live with my dad) & being really nasty to him because I'm not speaking to her,even though I made this decision & it was completely my choice.

She turns everything around to be everyone elses fault but hers.I know she's my mother but I don't agree that just because of this I should forgive her.

So what do I do?Forgive her or not?And why?

Yesterday I was sitting in my car early in the morning studying for a test for grad school since the building was not opened yet. A chick rolls up in her BMW and parked a few spots from me. She gets out and walks towards my car to ask me a question so I rolled down my window. We ended up taking for a bit and she asks me if I want to take a walk with her to relieve some stress. Anyways we ended up walking and talking around the block.

She asked me my age and I told her to guess. She guessed 26 but I told her 23. I asked her and guessed 21-22. She happens to be 30. Few minutes later I asked for her number to see if I can get it and I ended up getting it. She said call me and I'll let you know how I did.

What is she looking for? I dont want to get in a relationship with a chick 7 years older than me. Would calling her and asking her to go out for some drinks be appropriate?

I have doubts about ever getting married. I am not in a relationship right now. I was in one but it didnt work out . My mothers marriage with my father was bad (he passed away when i was 5 months old.) My mom always talked good about him but now that i am older i realized and came to find out that he was no good. 90% of all my friends' parents are divorced or hate eachother.I have heard that the secret for good marriage is cheating. I notice that most marriages don't work out after 5 years or less! The only happy marriages i have seen only existed a long time ago! basically Im scared that marriage will ruin my life in the future. I have goals to become a lawyer and i don't want anything to mess it up. In my passed relationships i have claimed to be sure that person is the one, but after one year of being together it all goes to hell. So if there is anyone out there that can give me their opinion and experience about marriage please do so. Because the say life is about "being in love".
