I have a friend who recently divorced her husband (which was coming all along anyway) and moved closer to her family. She reconnected (after 4 years) with her pre-marital ex-boyfriend (who cheated on her and had a baby outside of their relationship) and has been talking to him every since. She claims that the relationship is strictly platonic but admits that she has feelings for him still. As many men do he claims that he has changed and learned a hard lesson after their break up. Well anyway I informed her that it would probably not be a good idea to get involved in another relationship right now until she's healed from her recent divorce and all of the issues that she dealt with prior to marriage. I also told her that her ex is an ex for a reason and though the chemistry probably is there between them, it's probably not a good idea to revisit that relationship. I kind of feel bad because I know she likes him a lot. What should I do and furthermore tell her?

Yo gave your friend very good advice.
There isn't much more you can say to her
except you will be there for her.
You are a true friend for not judging the situation or her.
Don't feel bad .
You did what you could do and the rest is up to your friend.

It's so rare for people to change. Especially men who are thinking with their peckers. He is sniffing around for some of her trim since he's hit it before and if she's stupid enough to give it up again he will be selfish enough to take it.

But cheaters cheat and he will again. Guaranteed.

Be her friend, offer her support and let her make her own decisions.

You've said enough. You're her friend; support the decision she makes.

Warn her again, then leave it alone. She may have to bump her head again.
