why do ex girlfriends always assume you want to hook up if you call to see how thier doing after a breakup?

my ex dumped me because she started cheating behind my back. She won't admit it and tried to say she just wanted to move one, yeah right. She said lets be friends which I didn't care for but had to deal with. Every time I call to see how she is or leave an email she never responds. Is this some sorrry ***** or what?
