*Secret Santa is when you get a name and you are supposed to get something for them. The person you get doesn't know that you have them...unless you tell them!

I have met an older man who is so lonely that he is showering me with gifts. And hands me money.. I have never been a gold digger.
I have rarely accepted things from men. He is nice but he reminds me of Forrest Gump. He says that he just wants someone to talk to and that I have given him a reason to live. I don't want to be a reason to live. I don't want him giving me thing that will make him think that he ownes me. Can a man be generous with a woman and truely NOT expect anything in return? i'm 22 and i live with mother and grandma...i have to stay at home to "babyseat" her cause she is blind...but the thing is i dont think that i ahve to sacrifice my life because i dont go out at all or socialize just to help out in the house and to supervise her. i'm still at home to help my mother out especially when my granma started living with us...i know this isnt her fault, i know...one time i put a blindfold on to see what she was going through...but i cant help but feel a lil bit resentful towards her...i feel very overwhelmed and depressed because of this, i went to live the life of a 22 year old u know...not even partying or drinking or anything like that cause that is not me but like you know what i mean?? i feel that this means i'm a bad person but i'm trying not to be u know..but i dont know..i am praying for this...

Help please,

My christmas is going to be ruined. Every other year my partner and i go to my parents house for xmas (we go to my partner's parents place on the other years). This year my mother is insisting on inviting my ex-boyfriend for dinner. She has done this many times in the past - he is now a friend of the family. I cannot bear to be around him and it makes both me and my partner feel extremely uncomfortable. I have tried to talk to my mother about it but she says i should just deal with it - he's moved on and so should I. I have no feelings for him, I just don't like him or want to be around him. I have emailed her to explain how i feel but she got very angry and said i should not be dictating to her and how dare i tell her who she can or cannot invite to her house. I have said we're happy to go any other time but not when he's there.

We're now not talking at all. What should i do?

We been together for an year and few month. We both were in love and really cared for each other. We were having a big problem we couldn't solve. It was him living with an ex and other ppl. (they went out decades ago) however, It drove me to the point to get overly jealous and was snooping around and triggered my trust issues. He even pushed me once. This isnt no win-loose situation. Things happen for a reason and we dont have any control over.

I feel so sad that things happened. Towards the end, we both werent unhappy. So, he ended the relationship. I wish i could change things to make it better.. I learn from this relationship to change myself to be a better person. im not blaming me or him for the things that happened.

Now, im feeling okay but still sad.Im finding thngs to do to keep myself busy now. We talked a lil too over the weeks but last time i spoke to him was online on wed morning and then he stopped talking.

Should i give him/ I some time n space?

I'm looking for serious answers here. Nothing along the lines of "duh" or "of course".

I'm just wondering, because I haven't been able to find a woman who thinks that it's important for a man to live his life with integrity. Most women that I know think that it's great when a man is unfaithful, lazy, bullying, and dishonest in general. They view him as being a "bad boy" who has "edge" and is a "challenge".

On the other hand, a man who is confident, mentally and physically healthy, a community leader, intelligent, romantic, honest, and would be a devoted husband and father, is seen as "boring" and "too nice".

Why is this? Do these women have low self-esteem and think that they don't deserve better . . . or, do men of integrity have to start being losers in order for women to appreciate them?

Yes, this is the same lady that poked me in the rear with a plastic spoon at a barbeque party and asked me to speak dirty Italian to her even though I don't know Italian...

She makes me very uncomfortable because she won't leave me alone whenever I see her. If I wear sweatpants or something more casual next time, will I be more comfortable?

Or should I just run away the next time I see her?

This guy I really like (not sure if he likes me) sits close to me in French class. There's about 4 of us in a two tables, and he sits at the table across from me. okay this is what happen: i have to move somewhere a couple hours away my bf and i are in our early teens when i told him he said he really did want to lose me and i said he doesnt have to bc i dont want to break up, and he said that long distance relationships were really hard to work out, and it would be hard so he didnt want to do it, then he told me "dont think that i dont love you" i was said and he said he was sorry and he shouldnt have said that. we havent talked about it since and it is a sore spot for us so we havent brought it up i am heart broken i will die if we move.
