I know what you mean. I think body language can be a pretty good indicator of a person's interest or lack thereof. Here are some examples: If the other person's body is angled towards you; if their posture is mirroring yours in some way (eg if they cross their legs/do things with their hands similar to what you are doing, for example playing with a drink coaster etc) ; if they maintain steady eye contact - look you in the eyes as they talk to you. Be good to you.

Physically speaking, touching your arm or knee (for eg) to make a point, as they're speaking with you, it doesn't have to be constant either.

A person who is interested in you will engage you with their eyes as they talk to you, they won't be looking around the room, their eyes will be locked onto you and vice versa, if you want them to know that you are interested. They won't be subconsciously looking around the room for something else to hold their attention.

Other than body language, it would be a perfect world if we all just came out with it and told someone we're interested but that would take away the element of mystery and fun - hence the "chase."

I think that if someone likes you and wants to see you/date you, they WILL make the effort. If they truly are interested, they will do whatever it takes to get YOUR attention, they won't leave it to chance, in case someone else grabs your attention before they do. I think the opposite sexes will always have difficulties in figuring each other out. At the end of the day we need to give ourselves a break, we're only human. Just go with the flow, trust your instincts, but most importantly, know what makes YOU happy - and do it. The rest will follow.

Does he act stupid around you? Do you catch him staring into your eyes a little bit too long? Does he nudge you or flirtily bump into you? Basically you can trace guys liking girls the same way now as you could in second grade. Sometimes they insult you in a joking way... stuff like that. We're pretty childish.

well usually i always tell my friends if i think that a guy likes me. then they would usually tell me what they think about it.
also if u dont feel like telling ur friends then usually if the guy is always looking @ u when he doesnt think that u r looking, it also depends if he is shy or not. if he is he will probably get tongue-tied around u, but if he is not he probably just wont shutup around u

do something simple like rest your head on his shoulder and see how he feels about it. you will be able to tell and then that shows that you have something for him and then see what happens maybe hell ask you out the next day.
