I have a few ideas:
1. you can get someone to talk to him and find out if he likes you.
2. you can try to talk to him yourself.
3. hang out with him for a day and maybe you'll see a change in his eyes towards you.
4. ask some of his friends if has ever said anything about liking you or anything.
5. if he is really shy try to warm up to him and then ask him if he would ever date you.
