Looks at me and says nothing!?

Question

This guy I really like (not sure if he likes me) sits close to me in French class. There's about 4 of us in a two tables, and he sits at the table across from me. Sometimes, he'll just start looking at me, and I'll look back. First off, I have no idea what to do. His face is normal, and we just sit there looking at each other. Sometimes I hide behind a book jokingly, but it's so awkward. Why does he do this and what should I do when he does it?

EDIT:
To the second answerer, I'm using my eldest sister's account (she doesn't live in the house anymore, obviously). My parents don't really want us on sites like this, but I really like Yahoo Answers and her name was saved into the computer. I don't even think she uses it anymore. I can see how that would be confusing, LOL.

I think you and him need to have a frank conversation with each other. He may like you. He may be weird.

On a side note, your other answers say you are married with four kids (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AglKFPHh6rIc.0lTmeiAaf7sy6IX?qid=20060930144111AAIBYg5) - I guess I'm confused why you are in what sounds like a High School French class.

if he is looking at ur everytime u are in dat class that is a really good sign dat he likes u. he is tring to look at u as much as he can. there is this guy dat likes me and evertime is see him he always is lookin at me but it is cause he just really likes me and wants to see me. I THINK HE LIKES U !!! good luck in trying to find out if he does !!
