I have been dating this guy for 3 years now, and I am tired of trying to impress his parents/brother; is there a special magic trick needed or should i stop trying, i feel like i am not good enough, and we thought of marriage, and I thought that's what i wanted, but now im in no hurry; any suggestions?

my bf and i have been together for 15 months on and off-most the time on-and last nite we were talking on the cell and he said that there is always the temptation to cheat and that scares me.what the heck, i mean that there is always the temptation of infidelity but him admitting to it just tells me that there might be trouble heading our way...i dont know how to act around him or what to say or how to express that his message hurt me! i feel that words like that can only be bad news and never good because i feel hurt yet i do not know how to take it! he says he loves me yet he says that temptation is never excluded-that is reality-but when you hear those words come of your bf's mouth it hurts you beyond words....my question is how should i take this, what does it mean, what should i do, how should i react, and so forth. rt now i am sort of close but more distant with my bf after he said that so yeah, what should i do? help plz!thanks

There is this guy I know that I like, and he seems to like me--but I can't help but get mixed feelings. I'm not the greatest. I mean, is there something wrong with this guy? I'm f/23, 5'9". I weigh 165 lbs. My cheeks are masked in ance scars, however, they are not deep. If someone stands 10 feet away from me, they can't see them. Actually, my face is rather pretty if you overlook the scars. But, I'm also overweight.
I know he isn't gay, but I just can't help but think that he is either werid, pulling my leg, or has really low self-esteem. Which is why I do not have enough confidence around him... When he smiles at me kinda sweetly, my first thought is "What does he see in me...?" And when I see him across the room looking at me, I want to go over to him, but then I remember what I look like...
Can it ACTUALLY be possible that he isn't weird, pulling my leg, or has low self-esteem? Or is it just me? I thought guys, who have nothing wrong with them, like their women slim, shapely, and have a perfect face.

just got off the phone with the principal of the school I work at. (I'm a history teacher). One of my best and brightest students has suffered a terrible tragedy. Just before school started in August this girl lost her father. He was a firefighter and was killed in the line of duty. Yesterday she and her mom were in a bad car crash. Her mom was killed instantly (car was apparently t-boned on the driver's side) and the girl was trapped in the car for twenty minutes before they were able to get her free. She was relatively uninjured. (Sprained wrist and bruised ribs and collar bone from the seatbelt plus some cuts). So basically this girl lost her father and has now watched her mom die. What can I say to her? She'll be living with her grandmother and they intend to keep her at her school to maintain what continuity they can. What words can I offer her in this really tough time. She's 13 and the guidance that is offered her can make or break her handling this. Any advice?

So my parents have taken me and my siblings out of the church where I grew up in. I understand where they are coming from, about why we had to leave, but now I dont have a youth group to go to, and I really want to go back to the church i was in because thats where my youth group is. My mom and dad think I should set all of these "emotions" aside, and just deal with it. I can't just turn off my emotions. They dont even want to talk to me about it anymore, their shutting doors. Help!!! I have no one to really talk to about it. At least on a consistent basis, what should I do? My brother/mentor "in Christ", his name is Steve, said I just need to hang in there, and if I ever need to talk, he's there, but its getting harder to hang on.......so tell me what I should do.

My mother is a deadbeat, drug addicted, perpetually ill, manipulative, pathologically lying, person who is constantly putting stress on everyone. She has horrible mood swings and is either your best friend or your worst enemy. Pretty much a perfect example of Borderline Personality Disorder.

She dumped my sister and I with my grandparents when I was three and disapeared until I was in high school. She has been living in the same town as us since then and I've gotten to the point where I never want to see her again.

How should I go about telling her that I don't ever want contact with her again without it becoming a big scene? I have to make sure it sticks because she has a habit of 'forgetting' when things happen that she doesn't like.
