Are there certain kind of guys that are considered taboo to marry? I've heard that I wouldn't want to marry an athlete, an actor, and any guy in the military (that's just a few). The reasoning goes anywhere from being a control freak to being too promiscuous. Can anyone concur with any of those or dispute them? Men AND women feel free to comment...

my husband and i just got married we have been married now for 6 months and now hes saying that im smothering him. i know i am but i cant help it. i love being around him. and i cant live with out him. he says he loves me but he just needs a little space whatever that means but i dont know it just seems like now that we r married he spends most of his time without me either playing video games or hanging out with his friends what should i do?

I see so many people asking the same questions.And they all seem to be young people.
More then half the questions on here are about "i like this guy/girl what do i do","how can you tell if someone likes you","what do you do if you like someone and they don't like you".
This to me gets alittle old,and takes up alot of room.

I finally asked the girl(on one of my previous questions) out on a date( dinner movie messed around at the mall), we had a great time, we went my with one of friends and his girlfriend, when the girl and me were just sitting in the car, she says "i dont want a boyfriend" but later she tells me i didnt mean that, because her she is scared to get hurt again, (her last boyfriend was a real idiot),so she says she is scared to like me because she will get hurt again, i told her i would never do anything like that to her, for a follow up what do i say to her? thanks for the help

I am a severely verbal and emotionally abused woman. Married 8 yrs, 13 yrs total. Kids 6 & 4. He has called me everything from stupid, fat *** *****, worthless ************, you ain't ****, sorry *****, and I don't mean **** to him. He will say that he doesn't care about opinions or feelings. He also wishes that I drop dead either from diabetes or a car slamming into me. His father and brother cursed me out and he defends them . Our house is almost in foreclosure while he spends money on ebay everyday buying sports figurines and clothes and doesn't want to buy me clothes hardly. Gives me only $60 a week and I have to buy my gas,food( he only buys me dinner food), etc. He brings home $900 a wk. and I can't touch the money( transfered the money from joint acct. to a new acct). We could go and live with my mom . I'm not working currently. How do I just let go of this miserable marriage for my kids and myself? I feel physically ill and anxious most of the time(rapid heartbeat) now.

My husband found out that his friend had been emailing me trying to get with me. When he asked me about it I explained that it was just some suggestive emails and I shut it down once I realized that he was serious. I showed him the responses i sent and he's cool w/me, but his so-called friend. My husband has been letting this simmer since Friday morning, and a few minutes ago he called from work and let me know he called his friend on his break and let him know that he knows and his friend said, "so what about it?" Then he hurried and got off the phone and said that he was at the hospital w/his wife. YES his wife. My husband says his so called friend did this because my husband had sex w/ his wife when they were in high school, before his friend and his wife ever met. I feel like this so called friend is no friend at all and should be ashamed of his behavior. I don't really want his wife to know because we are friends and i would NEVER sleep w/him, but he might try this w/ someone else

I want to be honest about my status with people, but as soon as my status went from Married to seperated (not divorced) I am getting asked out on dates. I don't want to really...I don't even really want to be seperated, it just is what it is.

I'm just curious what the "norm" is for a seperation. Is this my time to see what else is out there...or is it supposed to be a reflective time to put into your marriage?

I try to look at things in both ways.I hate my parents for being selfish and never wanting to see things my way.How ignorant. Sometimes I feel like this whole world is against me. my siblings total ******* assholes like don't they have anything else better to do then try to make my life miserable? I leave them alone. They always try to make me look bad in my parents eyes. Why?! I don't even care what they do. I try not to aknowledge their existence. They get way better grades than me. I don't care I try to do the best I can but sometimes it's hard when you got alot **** going on. Why do they have to go and tell my parent'sbad things about me. Just so they can see me get punished and hated so they can feel more loved and superior?! It's not because they care. Like they will find any little stupid thing to tell my parents.Why do they like to see me upset?Do it feel good to see your younger sister cry and scream at you and wish she was dead and wish you were dead?r they satisfied? Help!!!

i just started dating this guy...and i really like him a lot, so thats why i want to introduce him to my family...this will be the first time for myself to bring a bf home to meet my family. Im really nervous to what my parents will think...my dad will love him cuz thats just his personality to do so...
but im worried about my mom. She is very shy and doesnt like to be social...She has a problem for making ppl feel welcomed....my mom is full mexican ...and im half mexican and white But i look like a white girl. My new bf is Samoan. and i think my mom wouldnt aprove....how can i make this situation better? or should i just wait awhile til me and my bf's realtionship is deeper?

Okay, I went overseas this summer for a foreign exchange program. THe 18 others I went over with are the best people I've ever emt. ( My best friends) I feel like a couple are my brother and sister. THat close of a friendship. Ever since I came back, I feel homesick , for the times we spent together.
