...if your wife had a penpal in prison that was serving 25 to life?

Years ago, I was in a sociology class and this lady came in to talk about this organization to keep kids out the street. In doing so, she brought up this murder case which was the foundation on which this organization was built. This story really touched me so I asked for the address to the prisoner she mentioned. At the time I was in the process of changing major of Criminology due to a proposition that relates to this case and this cases really brought it home for me. So, I started writing this guy and getting insight. When I meet my husband, then boyfriend, I told him I was writing and he had no problem. Then we got married and he saw the box of letters and started questioning me if I was still writing. We talked about it and he tried to act as if he didn't mind me writing but I could tell he wasn't okay with it. Now, out of respect for my husband I told the guy that it would be a problem for me to write.

Just curious---

What complications could arise?

What happens when kids come in the picture?

Could such a relationship survive? , and if so---do elaborate or provide an example of a real situation that you know about.

My sister just quit her job and now she says that she isn't going to look for a job for an undetermined amount of time. She wants to be a housewife, but she doesn't have any kids at home! She probably won't have any more kids either. She's 44 and already has a grown daugher from another marriage.

I think it's wrong not to work; it weakens your character.

We're a young couple in our early twenties with a HUGE problem. He feels that I keep alot of my feelings in and don't tell him anything. I feel like I tell him how I feel but he says he knows there's things I hold in. What kinds of things do you guys want to know? He feels like he doesn't really know everything about me but I'm completely puzzled on what he wants to know. I ask him what it is I don't tell him, but he says that I should think about it. He says this relationship will end if I can't communicate clearly which breaks me up inside because I love him to death. Because of my poor communication problems he feels he can't trust me because if I can't tell him something as small as " how I feeel about my fathre" then I am probably not telling him other things. People please help me on what he might want to hear...we have a baby on the way and this stress is killing me. I just wish I knew how to talk better...

Despite the fact that it's not legal, I just don't think it's right. He's an adult, she's too young, she shouldn't be thinking of serious relationships at 15, I know I wasn't!!!

What are your thoughts about it?

i met someone but too early on i got serious-after the second date...(eh, i'm not very experienced in dating). did i scare him off? i really like him and he said the same about me but he admitted he quite recently come out of a 10yr term relationship (2 years ago) and doesn't feel like settling down yet(he's 31). so do i go with him and possibly fall in love with him even though he admits he wants to sow some wild oats or do i just forget him?....though i can't seem to forget him.... : (

So my girlfriend and me go to different schools and she works and I have an internship so we get to see each other about once a week. She is approached by guys often and is "tempted", but she has a guy "friend" who likes her and she likes but she loves me so he respects that and is a "friend". Lately everything he tells her she seems to like to hear so she follows him without question, and he told her that I need to step up and confront her parents about letting me come over, so she believes everything he says and orders me to talk to her parents. What do you guys make of this situation?

Ex-wife has been “Baker Acted” (where police, judge or physiatrist find a person harmful to themselves or others and hospitalizes them until they are rational) and thus lost custody of the wonderful older children (16,14 & 9). Father temporarily stops working/traveling to take care of his family. When the father returns to work 3 months later, he puts a “Nanny” in charge; the ex-wife shows up one night and tells the “Nanny” that she is taking over and makes the “Nanny” leave. What’s the right next step for the father?

3 years ago I was engaged to a wonderful man. We had been living to together for a few months. To make a long story short I moved out and never explained to him why I left. There were options that could have been worked out for us to be together. I freaked and ran instead of dealing with things. He was devistated and kept begging me to stay and explain what happened with us. I broke his heart and have always been very sorry. I am wondering if it's too late to apologize. He has been seeing someone for a while now and I don't want to cause trouble. Should I contact him to apologize or just leave him alone?
