Ex-wife has been “Baker Acted” (where police, judge or physiatrist find a person harmful to themselves or others and hospitalizes them until they are rational) and thus lost custody of the wonderful older children (16,14 & 9). Father temporarily stops working/traveling to take care of his family. When the father returns to work 3 months later, he puts a “Nanny” in charge; the ex-wife shows up one night and tells the “Nanny” that she is taking over and makes the “Nanny” leave. What’s the right next step for the father?

If you have an agreed upon court order vistation schedule and it was her day to visit then there is nothing you can do. You have follow all court orders as does she. If there is nothing ordered by the court I suggest strongly that you proceed with that first an foremost. The court can also order supervised vistation and if in fact she has a mental disorder then that would most likely be madortory. Therefore no harm could come to the children. If you can also see about a restraining order until the court order for supervision is in place. Good Luck! Just rememebr the children do love her and they need her so please don't shut her off completely. Keep the kids in mind. It will be harder for them if she is not around!

Call the police, and get a restraining order against the exwife.
And hire a NEW nanny that is AWARE that this woman is a danger, and have her call the cops if exwife EVER comes around, calls, or contacts the children at all!!!!

Protect those kids. You have custody......so it is YOUR responsibility to keep them safe.

Get full custody of the children with no visitation if she is harmful to the children. Then she cant legally show up like that, and if she does she can be arrested.

he should have told nanny about not giving any access to ex-wife to children without his presence. since she apparently has moved in, you might try an eviction or you can go to family court and get at least temporary custody.

Court is the next step. If it is in writing and all legal that you have custody, then she has no business with the children unless specificed.

So the mother is back, got some treatment. Whats the problem?
Get some counselling. SHE gave birth to your 3 children, have some respect & compassion.

F.Y.I.
Psychoactive drugs change people.
Help her get off of them, they're obviously ruining her life.
