personally i think the same way as you. even though i truely love my bf i will not fall too deeply into the relationship as the deeper i fall into love, the more it will hurt later. but i guess its always possible to have a lasting relaitonship!

My great grandmother had a successful relationship with a man she met in her teens, they had many children and stayed together until he died. I have a friend who got married at 16, and they are still happy. I have another friend who is getting married at 14, they have been dating for 3 years.
So, yea, teens can have a successful relationship with their high school sweetheart, or they can break up, loose touch, and never see each other again. If you really care about this boy, then stay with him. As long as he treats you with respect, then you'll be fine. Good luck in your relationship and hope I helped!

I know a good many couples that met at school. Some went their separate ways & met again later. Others married straight after school.
I think a marriage between couples who start out in their teens has just as much chance of being successful as any other.

follow your heart but keep your feet on the ground as you go
If I were you I dont know how romantic you are but all the 'fairy tale' type romance things you may not belive are possible in real life (heck maybe you ar elike me and a romantic at heart and you know that and good luck to you) but if your not then do somethings like picnics under the stars, horse riding into the distance at sunset
I only say this because I guess he is ,maybe the first person you have ever really truly fallen for. (At least he is the 1st person who you have given your heart to) but dont become so day dreamy that you give away your body in the process.(this is where keeping your feet on the ground comes into play) If you do then thats your call but dont do it as part of the whole 'romance' thing im on about.

They do indeed.
And many people date several different people before they find who is right for them.
You say you know you won't be with him all your life - you have a future in front of you and you seem to be realistic. So just enjoy your boyfriend and the others you will meet too. Follow your dreams and desires. Don't let one boy hold you back.

Not many these days! But if you like him, stay with him and just keep having fun! Nothing wrong with that even if you know there's no future - you're only young!
