How much does it cost for a lawyer?
I need a lawyer to help me get a better deal on my visitation rights. I recently recieved an offer from her lawyer and i'm not really feeling it. Was wondering if anyone know about how much it cost for a descent lawyer. I live in Houston but i may need one in Dallas being she lives close to it. Any suggestions? Offer is 42 days in the summer, every spring break, every other thanksgiving, 1 week in christmas and one weekend a month, plus i have to drive 5-6 hours to pick them up AND drop them off, making that about 20 hours in the car! Now how does that sound?

my boyfriend was abused alot as a child he was hit till he bled and his mothers husband would lock him in the closet...what kind of affect does this have on his relationships he has with a woman (dating, engagement, marriage) and has anyone dealt with this sort of situation. I am wondering that because he was abused that he may be capable of abusing myself or our child when i become ready to have one.

not sure what to do for the best..or the worst.
a bit of background before the actual main bit.
i was in a relationship with a girl(A) for 11 years on and off, we have two lovely children aged 7+15
I am now in a relationship with a girl(B) and have been seeing her for 3 years. My mam is still good friends with (A).but has really only met (B) on a handfull of occasions, but like to think that friends could be a word i would use,for them both.
i dont get on at all with (A)this is known to all of my family
ok here goes.My mam is getting married again, she said that for financial reasons only immediate family would be invited, but because of the children, girl(A)has been invited, and not girl(B) (she gets on with the kids great,BTW)..now cant please everybody i know, but i am miffed, and told mam so..feel mam has put friendship with(A)b4 me.HELP!!.Feel as tho i am putting spanners in the works!.My sisters partner of 5 years is invited, so i would feel(apart from the kids)fairly alone!!!!

lets say some guy who is like 21 years old, wants to get with a chick who is really hot. are hot chicks more into guys that have never been married or married once and then divorced? i want to increase my chance of getting a hot chick. another similar question is: when a guy marries at a young age then divorce, will he be able to remarry again to a hot attractive woman? or will his chances be lowered? what about for women? do guys like women who have never been married or ones who have been divorced? what role does having children play in these questions?

I dated my boyfriend for two years. We had a very good relationship, but we fell away from each other. We broke up in June and remained in contact with each other. We never really had a huge fight at the end, and there was no cheating. We recently got back together (about 2.5 weeks ago) and he told me that he had dated (and slept with) someone while we were broken up. Clearly I have no right to be upset about ( and I am really not). He said that he had no feelings for her and currently has no contact with her. We have been spending a lot of time together, and having a really great time doing so. I am frustrated because he won't tell me how he feels about me, if he sees this as something long term, etc. He told me that he loves me, but is not in love with me. He also does not tell me that he loves me. He says that if I pressure him that it will just make this whole thing harder to get back on track. Does he just need time? Or should I be concernced that he does not love me

My husband struggles with his weight. ALOT of it has to do with his genes, but alot is also due to lifestyle. We have joind the gym and I try to keep healthy food in the house.

Bottom line, right now he does not look attractive to me and my sex drive is almost nonexisitent because of it. what else can i do without crushing his feelings>

I have been dating this guy for 3 months, the day I met him, I got that weird feeling that I met the man I was going to marry. Things are going great, he is everything I have ever wanted. I have had bad relationships in the past, been cheated on and left. I am scared and nervous that something is going to go wrong and he will leave. I always worry I am going to say or do something to make him lose interest in me. How can I get over this feeling and let myself enjoy the relationship? I have never smiled or laughed or felt so natural with someone before. I just want it to work.

My guy and I work in the same organisation. Different departments so no one is the other's direct supervisor. Even though there's speculation and whispering, we haven't made our relationship known to our co-workers and keep our interaction at work very professional. So far so good....but, there's an event comin up and he's been invited to attend w/ a guest. I told him to take his mum or his best friend (guy). He doesn't want to. He asked who I think he should take out of his two other best friends (women) who I know. I know there's gonna be whispering that he brought "another woman" but I'm prepared to deal w/ it. We've been through worse. The thing is, I'm still kinda bummed b/c I know if the roles were reversed, he'd sulk and pout. He however, sees it as not a big deal and even more so that he told me up-front what the situation is. How do I let him know whow I feel w/out coming across as being too "psycho" girlfriend or jealous and needy?

If you get it out, put it away. There's a whole list of those type of common sense comments that apparently nobody else in this entire house seems to be aware of! I've spent the better part of the morning trying to tackle everyone else's 'should haves' (I know, it's the job of a mother/wife/adult/human - and I know I'm preaching to the choir here!!!) I just thought I might print out the list, if I could find it, so the rest of my family knows esactly WHAT they are supposed to do with that opened cereal box they just poured from now that they are done with it. (You know what I'd LIKE to tell them sometimes. And no, not leave it and walk away~ Mom will take care of it....) =)
