It doesn't mater how old she is he still owes the money. Call the office that handles your child support and find out what you need to pursue the matter further. There are also places that will help you get the back child support, but keep in mind that places like that don't do anything for free. Good Luck.

If he was ordered to pay by the court even though he hasn't paid. It's to bad, he will still have to pay back child support even if she is 18 years old.

She has 7 years from the time she turns 18 to file for back child support. (Once she turns 18, it's *her* filing, not you anymore). The courts will agree on a set amount (in the thousands, or in your case probably tens or hundreds of thousands), and cut that up into weekly or monthly payments that they will take directly from his paycheck. He may go to jail (not sure what Florida laws are on that), or they may take his house, cars, any assets he may have. It all depends, but he sounds like a real d*ck, your daughter should file asap! (Or if you don't want her to have to go through it all, you still can - before she turns 18) In that case, you better get to it!

Yes, court ordered child support is something that has to be paid. However, he could fill for bankruptcy and have the arrearages removed. You should consult an attorney. After she reaches 18, she can sue her own father for back child support.
