Quite often the skeptics of manmade global warming seek to refute the theory of global warming by focusing attention on any number of issues rather than attempting to refute the sceintific basis upon which the theory rests - namely that greenhouse gases retain heat within Earth's atmosphere.

Is the fact that so few address the scientific issues a sign that they don't understand them or that they can't refute them?

Wild Fires, Diseases, Extinction, Hurricanes, Blizzards, Earthquakes, Desalinization of the Oceans, and the Rockies in the World Series, are all blamed on Global Warming.

And why do I get the feeling "Global Warming" can be substituted with "America" or "George Bush" ?

Then what caused this warming 420,000 years ago? As you can see even if we eliminated 100% of all human produced gases, that may slow it down, but will not stop it. Warming and cooling is a natural cycle that the earth goes through. Does anyone disagree and if so why???

My query is that it is on the back of religious dogma that society's have manufactured civilisation (I think) and it is civilisation in all its pretentiousness that led to the industrial revolution... and it is the IR that has led to global warming... so who is to blame! eg. should the Pope be sued.

They are getting more power now out of these new generation cells and cheaper as well ,you could save a lot on electricity bills and even sell the surplus back to your utility provider.

If we keep tripling our population then not only will we be tripling our use of resources and depleting our ozone three times as much BUT also I think our body heat might add to the warm wave epidemic because that would be triple the body heat in the world therefore raising our core temperature three times..

what can I do to warn people?

In days gone buy, people could buy reductions in the time they would spend it pergatury by making donations to a particular order. A cleric would assess the donation and issue a certificate to the donor saying how many days their time in purgatory would be reduced by. Great for people who lead sinful lives looking to reduce their suffering in the next life.

This seems to have some parallels with carbon trading. In theory, you can still drive to work if you pay someone else to take public transport on your behalf, but the industy is entirely self regulated. People send money to which ever carbon offset services has the best marketing and they get a certificate with picture of trees and a statement of how much CO2 reduction you've bought.

Thank God! I get so tired of hearing this nonsensical rant.

Somehow I think this is just a lie and they will continue to issue "final" wake up calls for the next 100 years.

This story is old and tired. Same rubbish they have been saying since the early 1960's. Do they believe if they say it often enough, one day it must be true?

Once again we here the Progressive insane of the Democrat Party blame Global Warming for a disaster. Actually, it is arson that has caused these fires. One arsonist has already been shot and killed for contributing to Global Warming. Another arsonist, Catalino Panetta, a 41 year old Illegal Alien from Guatemala has been arrested but not shot yet. The Associated Press, like always, will go a mile in the fires to cover up any criminal activity from Illegal Aliens. Should Panetta be deported to Malaysia where he can be whipped for arson....lol

Many years ago, Kate and I developed a Stewardship Model for Tom’s of Maine in order to codify all of the natural, sustainable practices we were already following—such as only using natural ingredients and never testing on animals. The Stewardship Model sets out very specific standards for natural, sustainable, and responsible practices, and guides all of us every day in our decision making.

Kate and I also feel that a commitment to sustainability should be incorporated into all areas of the company—not just the product formulations. Let me share just two examples: our packaging designer, Jack, purchases only post-consumer-waste recycled and recyclable materials and soy-based inks; and my Director of Product Supply, Mark, had some great ideas about using renewable energy sources, so in 2006, we began purchasing wind energy credits to offset 100% of our factory’s electricity needs.
