What is the worst smelling stench that you know of from an industrial plant?

My state is full of paper mills and I don't know of anything that could be much worse than the stench that smells like **** and rotten cabbage. Livestock rendering plants don't exactly smell like a perfume factory either. What have you got that could possibly smell any worse than these?

Having worked at chemical plants, and the sewer Dept. the worst that I can remember was one sewer line that ran next to a hog slaughter plant. The water was mostly red, with some chunks of scrap meat thrown in for good measure. Especially when the temperature got above 90 deg.s

Livestock rendering plants are the worst. When I was a kid, my friend and I would hang around one of these plants looking for bones and skulls. When the smell would issue, we had to stick our heads in the livestock barns, smelling the **** for relief.

I passed by a plant of some sort near Pocatello Idaho that was belching black smoke across the freeway, I could smell the sulfer in it, so I knew it had loads of toxics in it.

The smell was beyond description, but I knew hell smelled like this

I would say one of the worst smells that I have ever experienced is soft rot in potatoes in a potato packing plant.

The Corn Products plant near Argo, IL. Have to give them some credit though, it doesn't stink as bad as it did in years past.

This is a joke, a young man and lady were dating and the lady asked him to kiss her where it stinks so he took her to Hamilton, Ontario, in which it was the steel mills. LOL!

The WORST are sugar beet plants.

They're all over in North Dakota/Minnesota.
