I was watching a news article on Reuters about the new tidal wave turbine project in N.Y. City. Good stuff! Horray, Green Power! If you have $100 dollars to spend today; invest in some sort of renewable resourse. I.E. Wind, Solar, or Bio Diesle. By the time the stock splits a few times then you'll have made a wise investment. Peace and love for the earth! Green, Green, Green!

i wonder if politicians, period. have more lust for money and profit than they do about improving the condition of the planet they live? they would go to war and dig trough miles of earth and contaminate the local fresh water to get to oil.

Assume a new report by someone like the IPCC was released in three months' time. The report states they have found new major contributers to Global Warming and Climate Change and the other 'suspected' contributers are totally wrong.

The report states that the world is not warming as fast as previously thought and the potential consequences of climate change are less dramatic than we've seen so far, not radically different but perhaps 10 to 20% less serious.

You have invested a lot of time in research, maybe it is your job too. After you got over the shock, what would you do?
Would it prompt you to start acting in a different way?
Detailed plans/actions would be great too.

Its a fact its happening and if things dont change 1/3 of the world land is going to be flooded within 100 years killing billions of people.

Who thinks the only way to get round this is to just build thousands of windfarms and other natural sources to get energy. For example a 10 by 10 metre solar panel on a 12 hour sunny day saves 2 tonnes of carbon!!!!!! f@#>?(. We have the resources to do it.

Before long the only animals left will be dogs and cats.

Who agrees or disagrees with me?? Plus don't moan about visual pollution because before you know that place will be flooded.

I'm moving and I have this 55 gallon drum full of used motor oil and a 10 gallon can of contaminated diesel fuel that I don't know what to do with. My neighbor says he usually just dumps his down the sewer drain but I'm not sure that's legal. Was thinking of just dumping them into an estuary out in the sticks but the road out there's pretty muddy this time of year.

My neighborhood just started taking down trees and building in a wetlands without telling anyone. They started early in the morning. The town hasn't responded to any calls. Some of my friends live next to that wetlands and wasn't notified. It also was a big place for our animals to live, and they have gotten rid of all the trees. They are killing off so many animals! This can cause flooding on the streets to. They didn't let anyone have a hearing. They also are doing this in the way early morning so I can't sleep. I am just a kid though, so I don't know if I can do anything.
