Live Norman Rockwellian and follow the teachings of Thoreau - "simplify, simplify, simplify". Live in a small house which lounges in serene greenery all tended with manure/ compost and a cylinder push mower/ hand clippers - no motor anything. Rain barrels. Clothes are dried on the line. Window units only turned on when temps make open windows unbearable. Buy groceries on sale, in bulk - staying out of the middle convenience sections. Plan baking all at one time. Mend & repair till forced to buy and only buy made in the USA. Walk/bicycle more than drive. If you ain't got the cash - don't use the plastic. That is a green light for a green life.

1) Recycle-by doing so you are putting less and less in the landfills. 2) Use squiggly bulbs.-By doing so you will cut your energy bill down. 3) Use eco friendly cleaners. By doing so you will help save the ozone layer. 4) Carpool. This is a cheaper way to commute to work. 1 car vs 4. Less wear and tear on your car+less gas = less air pollution. 5) Exercise more and Eat healthy. By doing so you will live longer and feel better. 6) Quit smoking. Once again by doing so you can save your life along with someone else's, and live longer. 7) Conserve Electric. Use as much natural light as possible.(ie: open your blinds and curtains during the day and let that light come in., Unplug things you don't use daily-paper shredder, regular radios, unplug your cell phone charger when not in use.etc) I know there are tons more but I can't think of them right now.

I have made a decision to help make our lives and homes healthier. Some of the most influential people in the nation have committed to making their homes safer and healthier. Find out in my free video why People Magazine's "Most Influential Person in the World" endorsed my products on Earth Day. Let me know if you want to watch the video by e-mailing me with "Show me the Video" in the subject line.

I utilyze the bus service or ride my bicycle for my everyday travel, only renting a car when I absolutely need to. I buy groceries in bulk (fresh dairy and some meats excepted), and make most of my food from scratch. I refuse to keep a television in the main area, as it encourages visitors to turn it on and stare, rather than enjoying conversation. I only turn on lights when absolutely necessary, and I unplug by laptop when not in use. All other large power draws that are not hardwired are on a spike bar, and switched off when not in use.

I recycle paper,
Recycle plastic,
Use energy saving light bulbs,
Turn the TV off when I'm not watching,
Refuse to have a TV in my room,
Hang dry all of the clothes,
I also advise people to do the same thing,
Have shorter showers,
Plant a few plants and that's it.

me and my partner recycle as much as we can (can't compost or collect water as we live in a flat), we use trains whenever possible or walk, use energy-saving bulbs, a green electricity supplier, recycled paper and tissues, buy local fruit and veg, and try not to buy anything with a lot of plastic packaging

I recycle, cut up 6 ring packs, try to NEVER blow dry my hair unless I have to, and I am getting the energy sufficient lightbulbs, I am also going to get a timer to put in my shower to take shorter showers. And, if I get to get a new car, I'd like to get a hybrid. I also ordered a reusable tissue...and then I am starting to hang dry all my clothes instead of machine drying.
