Two reasons:
#1 GW is not a threat
#2 We can't do anything to climate change; good or bad
God has created the planet Earth. It has endured all the volcanoes throughout history, each of which produces more "greenhouse gasses" in 1 burp, than all of mankind has released in history. Pretty arrogant to think you can defeat God; ain't it?

I am so depressed by the repeated - "it's just a scam" - posts. They always jump in first - it's like they were being paid! Yes The issue is politcal - geo and corporate and democratically significant. Yo to the mr geologist I ain't no Gaia nutter but if you look up from your rock (some of which were once living creatures - oil!) you will see that the earth is alive - unless we are all robots - you don't have to pray to something to respect it. Or do you Sh1t in your kitchen because it ain't alive and so don't matter. To the people that say you first - W all need to do something - but if the 5% of the world's population producing 25% of the worlds CO2 say "well no point in us reducing until the other 95% of the world starts to do it" then nothing will happen. May as well dump nuclear waste in drinking water because other people do that - How frickin childish. Of course the republicans sit not only in denial but actively commission reports 1st decrying GW as happening and 2nd now saying that it was GW that caused the CO2 rise. The scientists that produce these reports just happen to work for Exxon et al. You know the pattern - smoking is good for you research via tobaco sponsored programmes and you couldn't get a grant to do open research if you begged the government. Always always read the manufacture's label and ask who paid for the research.

Because they take the time to consider all the facts that are available and do not follow like lemmings whom ever comes along. Pres Bush's low ratings prove people ( and yes republicans)think / evaluate on their own. Even those who think we should be there think he has done a poor job executing the plan. So when it comes to stufff like global warming they ask for facts, not speculation from those who stand to profit from fear mongering.
So no one is admitting it because while it appears that that earth is warming slightly, there is no direct scientific connection or proof linking global warming with the production of co2 of human activity.
let's think about the following facts
1. just because 2 things are happening simultaneously does not mean that one is causing the other or vice versa, so it may be that the reason the temp is going up is that the heat is going up- or it may be that the two are not related at all
2. Mars, neptun and titan ,jupiter's moon , etc are now going through a period of global warming period along with earth. Mars ice caps are melting now! If global warming is human caused then there must be a huge population of humans on mars
3. What do earth and mars share in common?- the sun- maybe it is hotter ev everywhere in the solar system because the sun is going through a hot pahse.
4. The earth has always had cycles of warming and cooling that have happened without human cause- what makes us think that we are exempt from the cycles or that we are the cause of natural cycles
5.Many climate experts and meteroligists say it is bull
Don’t believe the hype. Al Gore is wrong," says Richard Lindzen, Professor of Atmospheric Science at M.I.T. "There's no ‘consensus’ on global warming." There is a clear attempt," says Lindzen, "to establish truth not by scientific methods but by perpetual repetition."
6. Al Gore is not a scientist but yet makes money by selling "carbon offsets" to people he has made feel quilty about impacting co2 levels. self serving- while he uses almost 20 times the electricity the average family uses and jets all over the word in private jets. carbon offsets or not - you can't have credibility if you scream the sky is falling because of co2 and then proceed to continue adding more co2 to the sky.
7. Scientist and leaders have been wrong about wild stuff like this before - in the 70's it was an ice age is coming - in the early 20th century it was euginics and "proof that " degenerates were going to gentically rule the world so they had to be put on birth control

Politicians are self-serving and lust for money for themselves or some unworthy project that will give them profit. Politicians have no interest in the world, only their own interests or the interest of another self serving-Politician.

Get over yourself. Where was Al Gore and all you global warming freaks back when he was vice president. I didn't hear anything thing from you guys then. And don't say we didn't know then because all through the 80's we had to hear about the hole in the ozone layer that was casing global warmng from pollution. Man you people have short memories.

You are all idiots....... We will all be dead before global warming is so bad is affects our ability to live day to day. The world will always be around humans wont be around to see the end of the world. We are only taking a second of time in relation to how old the world is. All you people who complain about global warming are the ones leaving the lights on all day while at work and doing 6 loads of laundry and not recycling do all of you have a "green car" no im sure not do you drive a SUV mmmmm prolly. And do you know what it takes more resources and pollution to dispose of a old battery of a "green car" then to it does to use gasoline everyday in a regular car. hmm food for thought. Nothing wrong with being eco friendly but get off your friggin high horse and do some reading before you think you are all mighty......There is so much hate and violence in this world everything is sure to be destroyed from nukes then see global warming effect us.....

The propaganda that you gulp down is only partially true. What about the fact that Pluto, Neptune and Saturn are heating up too—we must have powerful SUV's. The global warming patrol is not without their profit motives. Global warming issues bring in lots od money..

In general, Republicans are motivated by facts, Liberals are motivated by emotions.
Show a cute animated polar bear swimming for his life in a movie and Republicans say so what, it's a cartoon, liberals say, so sad, we need to save the bears even if they are cartoons.
Republicans look at science and life objectively, liberals rely on what the consensus of others think, and are subjective in their view of science.

Smart Repulicans know it's real, and mostly caused by us, too.
"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"
"Pat Robertson (very conservative Christian leader) 'It is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to do something on fossil fuels.”
Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr. "I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."
"The science of global warming is clear. We know enough to act now. We must act now."
James Rogers, CEO of Charlotte-based Duke Energy.
"Global warming is real, now, and it must be addressed."
Lee Scott, CEO, Wal-Mart Company

I know a lot of democrats and independents who don't buy the global warming hysteria either. I'm one of them.
Why did you ask the same question twice?
