Other facts are that animated polar bears are doomed. (Yes, he used cartoons to show global warming was real)
And the other facts is this movie made billions for someone who already had a family fortune from tobacco and oil.

"There were a great number of facts stated by Gore, there were also some distortions and exaggerations."
Wow, Trevor hit the nail on the head. The problem with "An Inconvenient Truth" is the fact that it is full of all too convenient "facts". Maybe someone like Trevor (or any other GW alarmist) can do us all a favor by pointing out what is fact and what is distortion and what is exaggeration. And when that exercise is complete, Trevor can tell us how we know what is fact and what is distortion and what is exaggeration. And when that exercise is complete, Trevor can tell us why we should believe any of it when other parts of it are lies.
Therein lies the biggest problem with global warming. Way too many of their "facts" are distortions and exaggerations meant to scare people into action that is financially beneficial to them. See carbon offsets and Algore. Wait, I bet his movie "inconveniently" leaves out all of the money he has invested in carbon offset companies and how much money he stands to make through the carbon offset sales he is pimping...

The inconvenient truth is that we are all misusing costly electricity even during day time when the sun is shining. The burning bulb is contributing CO2.
A grassroot level initiative U-SEE - Unlimited Savings of Electrical Energy which gives to the world how we can stop misuse of electricity during day time when the sun is shining. My idea revolves around "bring home the sunshine" and "get moonlight from sunlight". Have a look at the following World Bank link and let me know if you want more details. The idea is a child's play and is so simple but saves billions of units of costly electricity and also reduces over exploitation of the natural resources like oil, coal, water and also reduces global warming from stopping burning of bulbs.

One big thing that it's about that hasn't been mentioned yet but has been demonstrated. People are ignoring the problem, refusing to listen to science, suppressing what science they do know about, and if they are forced to admit that global warming is clearly true they then move to an attitude of despair and throw their hands in the air and proclaim that there's nothing to be done for it so we might as well keep destroying the planet. Some people just refuse to change their ways. Sometimes the only way to get people to change is to wait for the older generations to just die off and let the younger people take control. Once the baby boomers finally get out of power I bet we see a lot of change for the better in America's environmental policy.

There were a great number of facts stated by Gore, there were also some distortions and exaggerations. The underlying message was the we need to act now if we're to avoid the worst effects of climate change.
Some of the key points he mentions in the movie are...
Levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are increasing as a result of human activities.
Glaciers are retreating around the world
The average global temp is increasing
There has been a significant increase in the number of wildfires, tornadoes, cyclones, hurricanes, floods, droughts etc
Ie shelves and ice sheets are breaking up, permafrost is melting
Some animals and plants are losing their habitat, some face extinction
The seasons have been thrown off balance, particularly in respect of animal migration, hatching, breeding patterns etc

It is about a lie.
It is about political propaganda for selfish reasons.
It is about something that only a handful of scientists believe and many of those are skeptical.
It is about Al Gore wanting to get back in the limelight.
It is about an hour and a half too long.

Bascially, how we are killing the world and how the population is booming, even more than the 'Baby Boomers' generation. It also includes the Al Gore life story, how his sister died from lung cancer because she smoked and how he nearly became President and all this other stuff about his life.
