You know like from China or whatever other country they are coming from. Are they causing bad pollution to enviroment and ocean. I should think that they are. And if so should we continue to buy products from other countries?
I try to buy product from the US. I think that they are better made but not everything I want/need is made in the US. I would love it if it was.

As a non-American I'm amazed of how this issue seems to be linked to political belonging. Is it?

If it is, then why? Isn't this a failure? I mean, of course different partys have different ideas about how to deal with the issue, but shouldn't the climate science itself stand alone from politics?

If you don't live in America I'm still interested to hear if you think this attitude is strong in your country as well.

If everybody would plant themselves 10 trees throughout the life, it would greatly help our environment. How many trees did you plant in your life? Would you agree with this idea?

While the scientific community has a very high confidence that global warming is real and caused by human activities, the lay press has apparently identified no one group that has actually done the most to reduce greenhouse gases. If such a group exists, who are they? What specific steps have they taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions? Approximately how many tons of carbon dioxide (or equivalent greenhouse gases) emissions have they prevented, captured, or "sequestered?" And what objective sources can you cite to support your conclusions?

A related question is, what are the major barriers--social, political, economic, technological--holding back countries, non-governmental organizations, and other groups (and individuals) from achieving large-scale reductions and mitigations of greenhouse gases and related global warming effects?

The Earth did warm up right?
So was it some sort of ancient civilization that burned fossil fuels and left the bathroom light on all night?
Or, do you think maybe, just maybe there is some sort of natural warming phenonmea that "thawed out" the earth?

If Global Warming Skeptics started to go missing or ended up dead would you consider this a natural progression of the global warming movement?

This movement is after all fueled by a powerfull lobby, would it suprise you if those who opposed this lobby ended up dead or missing? It's only a natural extention of stalinism.

You're thoughts betray you... I know you want those global warming deniers dead!

I have seen and heard about these companies that will install solar power panels on your roof and they claim depending on how sunny it is where you live that your electricity bills will be drastically reduced and you could even generate so much power that your electric meter will spin in reverse and the power company will pay you for the excess power generated. So, my question is, how much does one of these solar power arragements cost?

I think it's paper towels, simply because of the energy it takes to harvest wood, the chemicals in it, the energy it takes to manufacture and package, the packaging and all of the costs of manufacturing that, and the landfill space that it hogs.

About 28 years ago scientists began noticing the first signs of global warming for what they were. It took 27 years for the crisis to meet willing ears. One to 20 articles daily were being published about global warming in every newspaper and website, and then something happened. Something that could kill every related scientific endeavor up to this point. The oil and fuel companies began to lose money. Big time. Any smart businessman knows that the only way to stop losing money is to invest a small sum into getting articles into newspapers about themselves. People love to seem well-informed. This love makes them read the odds and ends in newspapers that don't match up with the norm of most articles. All of a sudden, scientists were conducting new experiments, and coming up with dramatically different results! Poo-pah global warming! It's actually all an enormous scam! Hey everybody, there is no more to truth to those ever-inconveniencing truths! Lets go burn natural fuels

I wanted to see who out there really cared about this big concern. From what I hear, those in Australia are very aware of the concerns that face our world. But, it seems that here in the U.S., residents in general, are not concerned.

What have you done to play your small part to help. I know we can't all afford to put up solar panels or compost our organic waste, but I'm sure with a little effort from a lot of people, we can make a difference.

Personally, I recycle everything I can. I'm lucky that we're given a green trash bin by the city to do this.

I also don't fertilize profusely.

I also try my best to keep the organic wastes and put them in a composting bin.

And, because my husband owns a trucking business, we use FFI products to help eliminate 75% of the emissions that his trucks and our personal vehicles would typically emit. www.paulsam.myffi.biz

Does anyone have any additional suggestions that won't break our bank accounts?

Of course the climate changes all the time. But the scientific data clearly shows that this particular warming is not natural.

See:

Meehl, G.A., et al (2004). "Combinations of Natural and Anthropogenic Forcings in Twentieth-Century Climate". Journal of Climate 17: 3721-3727

whose results are summarized at:

http://www.globalwarmingart.com/wiki/Image:Climate_Change_Attribution.png

No theory that contains only natural factors comes even close to matching the observed data.

This is science. "Logical" arguments don't trump data. Neither quantum mechanics nor relativity are "logical". They are accepted by scientists because the results of their calculations match observed data.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change.

Since it's politically correct to jump on the Global Warming band wagon, you knew it was bound to happen.
I'm talking about "carbon offsets", or "carbon credits". If you're not sure what these are, I'll tell you.
You send some company money to buy carbon credits. Which means you can still pollute just as much as you always have. But in turn this company "invests" you money into "green" research and development.
I say they invest your money straight to their pockets.
Why couldn't I come up with this perfectly legal way for idiots to send me their money?

I think so i mean data from 100 years is not enough to support a claim. although you will give me the majority of scientist say this claim, the majority of scientist have been wrong before. The Earth is always in a state of warming or cooling we are just in a warming one right now. I feel that someone goverment person(Al Gore) wants another excuse to tax us for somthing. It just also seems like an issue that people would try to use to get votes.

My current vehicle can do the following:

Travel for 250 miles at highway speeds (70 mph) on a single tank of gasoline.

Accelerate from 0-60 in 10 seconds as long as their is gasoline in the car.

When the fuel tank is empty, it can be completely refilled in less than 10 minutes.

A full tank of fuel cost $45.00

I can refill at thousands of convienient locations all across the country.

It can comfortably carry two adults and their luggage on long trips (and still do 250 miles on a tank of gas and accelerate from 0-60 in ten seconds).

It can maintain their comfort even when the outside temperature is as high as 100 deg F or as low as 0 degrees F, and still do 250 miles at highway speed and 0-60 in 10 seconds.

It went 170,000 miles before needing any major repairs. These repairs, when done, cost $4,000.

It cost $40,000 when new.

If there is an electric car that can do all this, I might just buy it.
