Since it's politically correct to jump on the Global Warming band wagon, you knew it was bound to happen.
I'm talking about "carbon offsets", or "carbon credits". If you're not sure what these are, I'll tell you.
You send some company money to buy carbon credits. Which means you can still pollute just as much as you always have. But in turn this company "invests" you money into "green" research and development.
I say they invest your money straight to their pockets.
Why couldn't I come up with this perfectly legal way for idiots to send me their money?

I suppose you just haven't got what it takes but I do agree with you about the carbon credits.

Carbon offsets are actually a good idea - for large companies.

They are a way to get the maximum carbon dioxide reductions from industries at the minimum costs. Those companies that can reduce carbon dioxide cheaply do so, and sell the credits to companies for whom reducing carbon dioxide would be very expensive. Large companies can make sure it's all legitimate.

For individuals they make little sense. They're a "feel good" kind of thing. And individuals have little way to confirm the companies they're dealing with are legitimate.

Sorry, Pal but if thats what you believe, then you are the idiot. You should do a little more research before making a statement like that.

Al Gore is in a no lose situation. If the world is not destroyed by us insensitive humans then he can say it was because of him that it was saved. If the world is destroyed who'll be around anyway?

You're probably too honest to come up with something like this.

So you "say" they "invest your money straight to their pockets," do you? Sadly, without evidence to support this claim, it doesn't appear that what you say has much bearing on reality. Come back when you have something substantial.

Because you don't "think" (if that is what passes for thought) like a low-wattage far left liberal. And you don't follow this inanity like sheep. Liberals are exactly like sheep. Savvy?
