Science is something that can be proven. Something that most anyone can do to verify that something works the way you say it does.
Your computer works not because a "consensus" of people say it will, but because there is a science behind it that can be explained by even you if you take the time.
Global warming however is something that is different. No one can duplicate any ones eles work. A paper is written, reviewed by their colleagues, and passed off as fact. You have to trust and believe that these scientist are correct.
No one can predict the future. It could be a record cold year next year or record hot. A climatologist has no better understanding of the climate than a coin flip.

global warming isn't a religion. global warming is what scientists call "the green house effect". the green house effect is when gases like carbon dioxide from the sun gets trapped in the atmosphere by the ozone layer and thicken the ozone as it continues global warming will make the ozone so thick that if we don't do something ultimately cause a second ice age by melting the polar ice caps and causing a major climate shift .if really want 2 see what it would be like rent the movie"the day after tomorrow" it shows what would happen if a second ice age did happen it shows what causes it in a little more detail too. scientists predict that it wont happen 4 thousands of years but if we don't act now our kids and grand kids will pay the price.you can help buy planting tress 2 reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. car pooling or taking the bus or subway.there are other ways but i cant think of them all

Global warming is very real! I live in the Midwest. No ocean around. The oceans are becoming deeper and there is a lot more activity (hurricanes) Florida, California, the East and West coasts will be covered in water. I'll stay right where I am.

Global Warming is exactly like Christianity. Many have said that it may be false, but the price of not believing it is true when it could be is to high not to.

For me, the jury is still out on this one. What Gore and CNN won't talk about is the decline of many glaciers that began since there were maps drawn of them in Canada and Alaska. Many that were mapped in the 1850s were already gone or declining by 1900 when mapped again. The Earth has warmed up and cooled down many times in the past. As humans, we tend to look around at the landscape and think, okay, this is the final product. But everything does change. I watched on Discovery Channel about tree fossils found on the land mass at the South Pole. Now that's warm.

To me global warming means "Global destabilization" since the weather around many parts of the world is not only getting warmer, it is just becoming more erratic with fiercer storms, colder and hotter weather, more floods, etc, so as to why they call it global warming I am not quite sure, but I really think that it should be called global destabilization.
At any rate, I have lots of info that I think you will find quite helpful and enlightening:
http://ecowellness.multiply.com/ for excellent inspirational info within my blog to help not only our world and its creatures, but to also open peoples hearts and minds to many amazing wonders that life has to offer. I also have lots of info in my blog to help fuel peoples imaginations to many possibilities that can be found only in the minds eye.
Along with lots of environmental info, amazing environmental pictures and videos (These videos show the beauty of this world and what life can be like if people take the time to appreciate life’s true beauty).
Let us all strive for a greener/brighter future by helping to create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon, so we can hand them a beautiful world, filled with never ending awe and wonders!!
Where peoples differences and uniqueness are accepted, where we all live as one, helping one another so that we can all play our own mysteriously beautiful melodies in the never ending, awe inspiring, song of life :-)
I truly have faith in humanity and believe that someday our lives and the world in which we live will truly be transformed for the better.

Nothing important.
No.
There is no "global warming" or "climate change" happening like the idiots want every dummy to believe. It is nothing but a natural earthly process that man never caused, nor can he stop. You can't stop, change or "fix" nature. It isn't broken.
"Global warming" IS being 'preached' (squawked about) by goons like al gore, but he's laughing at the 'believers' all the way to his bank!
The "new ice age" 'preached' (squawked) about in the '70s wasn't real either.

Yes...I beleive it's happening,
and the problem is we will not
feel the effects of what we are doing
now for another 50 years...scary.
The area under the peak
fuel and oil use chart is
enough to convince me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil
Also another indicator of Global Warming
is how much the weather deviates.the record weather
statistic are being broken
right and left these days.
Or...you could look at insurance costs,
which are getting very high in places
like Florida, USA.
