Smoking does cause Global Warming, since it basically carbon dioxide, and methane gas. Cigarettes has many toxic chemicals and those chemicals are deadly to the person who smokes, and deadly to the air.
Methane gas isn't much of a problem, since it can be used as energy, but the methane gas that comes out of the cigarette is harmful.

Some of the cigarette contents, are: Acetaldehyde, Rat Poison, Benzene, Lead, and Vinyl chloride.

If you believe that humans contribute to global warming in any significant way, then yes.

But not directly.

From the land use for what is essentially a non-essential crop, to the production, marketing, consumption, and finally the vast expense in health care costs, smoking demands the expenditure of an incredible amount of energy, the bulk of which leads to carbon emissions.

I don't believe that man significantly contributes to global warming, however. And I'm not about to judge someone over their energy use (No matter what, there will always be someone who wastes more and who uses less.)

But for those who do judge, where will this lead? We are already passing judgments on each other's actions, with very strong opinions and even condemnations of activities according to its amount of carbon "worthiness". You can already see the formulation of a global "morality" - a definition of "right" and "wrong" based upon carbon emissions.

Is that the road we want to go down?

Does smoking cause global warming? No, I don't think even 50 billion smokers smoking at once would create global warming, however, I think that smoking does CONTRIBUTE to global warming.

Breathing causes global warming. Every breath that you take, you are emitting CO2.

Humans don't CAUSE global warming, we just speed up the process. How many times do i have to say this !!

Let's be a little quantitative.

One person's share of the GW problem is about a ton of fuel burned each year. If you're smoking anything like a ton of whatever it is you're smoking, you're not going to last long enough to be threatened by GW.

No..it doesn't. Its methane gas that does .

(like when we, or cows or other animals fart)

and/or cars, big companies, and burning things. (not green popcorn or tobacco, more like...newspapers and tires and stuff)
