Global warming due to human activity is a fact, not a theory. The 10 warmest winters on record have occurred since 1995!!! 2007 was the warmest on record!! How will Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter explain this one????

I'm certainly no expert, but I know there are several technologies out there being researched (ethanol , fuel cell, electric, hybrid, etc).

If that research led to more viable choices to choose from, would that be more of an inducement to you to invest in a more efficient vehicle?

Mainly, do you feel more measures should be taken to combat Global Warming?

If yes, please share examples of what you think should be done and any other thoughts on the subject you may have.

If not, why not? It's hard to dispute the ample scientific sources which say Global Warming is indeed an issue which has already led to weather extremes (Hurricane Katrina, droughts, floods, etc) which will only increase in number.

Thanks to all Answerers in advance.

On any planet I believe there are toxins that can kill you, even here on planet earth. It's getting worse because we are not taking care of our planet. The whole world needs to unite and find solutions to making our planet more toxic free. People die every day of something whether it's Cancer,Radon,Lead etc... Some of these things our out of our control except for smoking and other bad habits which we humans have a lot of bad disgusting habits. My point is something on earth will eventually kill all of us if the enviroment is not taken care of by going totally green. The food we eat is also harmful in some ways depending on the way it was handled through processing. Eventually somebody dies of something yes it's part of life but the bigger picture is if we didn't have those dangerous toxins out there life on earth would be almost completely disease free. We all need to wake up and smell the roses because our planet is way more important then going to war on which we are destroying our planet even more. I am a strong believer in the enviroment

Is it really better to turn stuff off? Standby is there to reduce the 'wear and tear' on the electronic components. Lets say you turn your TV off when you have finished watching it - this could be 5 or 6 times a day. The electronic bits will breakdown quicker and you will need to buy a new TV. This will need to be manufactured, shipped to your local store, held in storage and then eventually you will drive there in your car to pick it up. All of this uses a great deal of power and therefore adds to the CO2 emission that are supposed to be reduced by turning the TV off in the first place. Roll this arguement out over all of the electrical items you are encouraged to switch off and suddenly you are paying out an aweful lot of money and possibly adding to 'climate change'. So should you turn off or leave it on standby?

First, conduct research on the Internet about trends and issues in handling environmental problems affecting business. You can obtain information about any of the following:

environmental regulations companies must follow.

the cost to business associated with following environmental regulations

trends in handling environmental problems.

new environmental problems anticipated in the future

identify current jobs that are related to the environment (such as waste management and recycling)

identify new jobs that may develop as a result of the need to solve environmental problems

identify the major environmental issues that business and industry must address during the next decade

I have to write a memo about one of these but I do not know how to find any of these threads could someone help please??

Why or why not? Virtually all scientists think that global warming is real, it's just the question of whether it's man made or not. So? What do you think?

I heard on NPR this morning that San Francisco is considering a measure to ban plastic grocery bags. So you'll no longer get to choose between Paper or Plastic.

But wait...I thought San Franciscans were pro-choice???
