Smog is a combination of the two words "Smoke" and "Fog". Haze is when particulate matter and low lying clouds combine together. Isn't that the same thing?

I am hoping to harness the wind in order to charge a couple deep cycle batteries and then hook up an inverter to convert it back to 110 volt and be able to use it in my home. Can anyone give me any advise or any ideas on how to do this as cheaply as I can? I am total electric here and I just got hit with a monthly bill of 384.00 just for this month alone. I want to find a cheaper sorce of power.

I'm bothered by the fact that wealthy spokespeople for the environment seem to believe that they are helping the environment by buying carbon footprint offsets. That's great that they can pay to allegedly compensate for their lifestyles, but aren't you pissed off that they can keep flying their jets to attend press conferences to tell the "rest of us" to cut back our lifestyles? If they are so committed, don't you think they should change their lifestyles vs. just opening their wallets?

For the past few months my electric bill here in north Texas has been climbing at an alarming rate and I was wondering if I am possibly being overcharged. There was something about many residences being charged in this manner on the news.

As a single person at home who barely uses any electricity other than for heating and I keep the thermostat at a constant 72 degrees (but ONLY when it is cold...mind you), otherwise I don't even turn on the heat at all. So I can't for the life of me figure out why my bill is over $300 the past couple of months!

Can someone please inform me who I can contact about extensive rate hikes other than a representative from the electric company as they are no help at all. I would like for someone to check into this more in depth just to make sure that my heating cost are absolutely true in addition to being fair.

I have cut back on so many things and even considering unplugging the refrigerator at night and anything else with a plug in device.

I think yes there is a lot of dangers in society in the soil and many Pollutants in the air. Global warming is happening and we never acted upon it in the past so we eventually will pay for not conserving our earth.
