Ethanol is a flammable, colorless and slightly (but not much) toxic chemical. It smells like perfume and is the alcohol found in Wine, Rum, Whiskey, Beer..etc
In Brazil it is used to make fuel alternative for cars and vehicles.
It's also found in cleaning products.

From an environmental standpoint, its CO2 gas that's been reprocessed by sunlight and a lot of manmade activities and systems into a fuel, which is burned, releasing energy and CO2 which is then ready for another round of recycling.
