For instance, "consensus scientific opinion" in the U.S. right now seems to favor the notion that water fluoridation is "safe and effective." Yet, back in the early 1940's the "consensus opinion" from the medical community, including the American Dental Association, was that fluoride was a poison, and that laws should be enacted to remove as much of it as possible from our food and water supplies. So what changed? The latest report from the NRC (a research arm of the National Academy of Sciences) is now saying as little as 4 parts per million of the stuff can cause thyroid problems, osteoarthritis, and possibly even osteosarcoma in male children, if consumed over a long period of time. In other words, it looks like the pendulum is swinging back to the notion that fluoridation is NOT "safe and effective" after all. Other substances like leaded gasoline, ddt, and most recently Celebrex, have also fallen by the wayside. So why do the media still invoke "consensus science" so often?

How can an unproven theory such as manmade global warming be mandatory education in our schools. How can any unproven theory be taught as truth? You owe it to yourself to at least watch this documentary, and decide for yourself.

i am an indian presently living in canada. i feel india is trying or is adopting certain policies from the west. countries like america or canada are recently developed and their policies and strategies are new .they are moving rapidly towards destroying mother earth .here are a few examples.1. for their food or beverage packages they use disposable paperor plastic.
2.they are introducing newer and newer cars everyday and are straining mother earth for fuel.
3.they are leading towards pollution to the environment and society to a large extent by doing all this and also dumping garbage in the ocean.
3.excess money is in circulation and people are made to barrow for their needs and their credit bills exceed their income and people are always in stress and confusion and thus not happy or contended.
4.lot of scams go on also.
if india is doing all this will she survive at all. what will we have for the future generation. my next question follows

Do you think we will pollute the earth to the farthest possible extent to destroy it or do you think we will all die in a nuclear winter? Because at the rate we're going the polar ice caps will melt completely if temperatures continue to rise at the rate they are going now.
I think it is important for the government and people world wide to start treating the Earth with some respect and try to clean it up. It stinks to know that no one will do anything until it gets really bad, and they don't care about future generations who are going to have to pay for our dumb mistakes.
How would you like to have your grandchildren call you a moron for not acting sooner.

It is known that cold water works best for the whitening power of bleach. But what about bleach's disinfecting powers? Should you use hot water or cold water?

Since cold water works best to whiten and brighten, I am confused as how to best make bleach disinfect things.

Anyone know?

I have asked this question before but I remain uncertain of what the answer is, so I thought I would ask it again.

Thanks.
