Your question does not really fully go with what you wrote under it.

In answer to your question, soil nearest the ocean is usually very sandy. Climate is humid in a humid climate! That means a large percentage of water in the air.

The biggest differences are in the amount of rainfall and temperature. In the humid subtropical climate is much greater these factors. I live in Brazil, so I prefer the tropical climate and its variations. Hugs!
