in the tropics
and subtropics
and the warmer it gets
the bigger the light
in the jungle of Oaxaca
among the thousands of normal biggish fire flies
i saw lights in the night that were as bigs as a lantern (torch light )
the Indians assured me that they were also insects ,and i have to believe it because the lights went up and down dancing through the air

I saw them in the Upper Midwest when I moving between IA, MN, WI, SD, MO. However, there are no fire flies here in San Diego.

i lived in Oklahoma for 3 months and actually got to see those neat little creatures. =)

in the USA and they comre out durring summer nights...not in england for some reason....im not sure why.
